February... A Month Spent In Darkness...

So, this past month was big for Top Cow, particularly The Darkness title. February had seen not only the release of the The Darkness II, but also the landmark 100th issue of the comic! This landmark issue marks the end of Phil Hester's writing on the series and will be picked up next issue (101) with a new creative team: David Hine and Jeremy Haun (a preview can be seen in the pages of issue 100). Also, the 100th issue has printed the winners from deviantART's contest this past holiday season (all three winning pages look amazing by the way!).

So... with all that said, let's see some feedback on what some of you may have thought of the game, the preview of issue 101, the current status of The Darkness in the Top Cow Universe... or whatever!

RULES FOR SUBMITTING

  • Submissions MUST include any or all of the Top Cow Trinity (Witchblade, The Darkness, Angelus). The group will NOT be adding other Top Cow characters, although they may be present in art containing any of the previously mentioned and allowable characters. Unless the rules change in the future, no matter how awesome your art is, if it doesn't belong in the galleries, it will be removed without prior notice. Please visit TopCowFans for other Top Cow art. Also, you may suggest misc. Top Cow art to the Favorites gallery.

  • Submissions are subject to deviantART's usual rules and policies. Nudity and/or erotic imagery is okay, no porn/hentai.

  • Submit to the correct category:
    • Witchblade: Any incarnation of the Witchblade [comic, show, anime, past bearers, Dani Baptiste (pre-Angelus), Ian Nottingham (only while wielding Excalibur), Kenneth Irons (while wielding the Witchblade), etc.]. Sara Pezzini, Masane Amaha, Yuuri Miyazono, and all other Cloneblade bearers will always fall into this category unless for some reason they are bearing one of the other two artifacts (canon or fan-created).

    • The Darkness: Any incarnation of the Darkness (comic, game, past bearers, etc.). Darklings (the demons created by the Darkness) are also included here. Jackie Estacado and Capris Castiglione will always fall into this category unless for some reason they are bearing one of the other two artifacts (canon or fan-created).

    • Angelus: Any incarnation of the Angelus [comic, past bearers, Celestine (only as the Angelus), Dani Baptiste (Angelus), etc]. Angelus warriors (the winged male and female warriors created by the Angelus) are also included here. Dani Baptiste will always fall into this category unless for some reason she is bearing one of the other two artifacts (canon or fan-created).

    • Group: Any combination (two or all three) of Witchblade, The Darkness, and/or Angelus. Submit your group art to this category and I will see to it that they also get filtered into their respective single character categories.

    • Fanfic: All fan fiction writing falls into this category.

  • If there is a category you wish to add to the galleries (ie. OC bearers) let me know.

This group is great, the only thing it is missing is a picture of Julie Pezzini as a bearer of the Witchblade. I know she hasn,t been a bearer in the comic but I would like to see it.
