First off, I'd like to thank someone who commented on a work of mine with some really good, detailed feedback.  Sometimes I lose a bit of hope in DA, because I see fanart getting TONS of attention and art like mine (all original) not receiving any feedback or compliments.  It's a little bit discouraging, because I want to improve, but whenever I get a good critique it's all worth it.  I feel bad that I cannot participate more in the feedback pool, but I don't feel right critiquing the works of others if I know that I am not yet at that level myself. People, I have been very much enjoying the summer and my job working in the field plus the classes that I have finished.  However, recently my friend that lives down the hall from me has been taking every chance she gets to act like I don't work hard and that I goof off all the time.  My job is weather dependent, and now that I'm done with class, I have more time to rest and relax.  But I guess I don't think that makes it so that I am not a hard worker.  Honestly, I've always thought a little rest was healthy before starting up the new school year, so it bothers me that she's taking every chance to throw it in my face that she's working more

Hello all! Now that classes are over, I've been working all the time.  It's so enjoyable, and I have been learning a lot about genetics and field work this summer!  We've done all sorts of work, watching our plants grow from when we hand planted all 7000ish rows of corn to now when they shoots are beginning to grow.  I'm enjoying every single day out under the wide open sky.  Even after one weekend, we can see just how much the field has grown.  I am looking forward to my future work at the university lab and future summers in the field.  It's a blessing to have the opportunity to learn from professors and be given responsibility in the fiel
