Trex: The Cavalcade Carnivore Ch. 15
Chapter 15
Trex: Raise Hell Creek
We hit Apocalypse like a meteor.
The impact slammed through every bone in my body. Metal shrieked against scale. The bridge shuddered violently as the two of us crashed together in the middle of the collapsing deck. For one frozen heartbeat I thought the whole ship might just fold in on itself.
Mace clung tight to my shoulders, plasmachete blazing. I could feel his heartbeat hammering against my back — fast, but steady.
I dug my claws deeper into the robot dragon’s hide, ripping through armored plating in long, jagged trenches. Blue sparks sprayed like fireworks. Thick black oil gushed from the fresh wounds, splattering across the tilting floor.
Apocalypse thrashed wildly, trying to shake me off. Its massive tail whipped around and slammed into my side, nearly knocking me loose. I held on, snarling through the pain.
Then its talons raked across my thigh.
It felt like a bull Triceratops had driven its horns straight into me. Hot agony flared white-hot.
