Lt. Marla McGivers pounds a right hand up into Lt. Uhura's liver in a rec-room challenge match. Note Spock pretending like he's above it all...but he's not exactly stopping it either. Uhura - badly overextended after her lengthy campaign to hound Janice Rand off the ship - wasn't at her best here, and Marla took full advantage. Later, when Khan Noonien Singh reviewed the tapes and saw that McGivers had bested Uhura, his choice was clear.
