Hello beloved ePlayers !

Do you still remember me? I’m not publishing lots of articles, but I do hope you appreciate the few I’ve brought up. :)

Today, I’m in a calm mood. I hope you also can access to such feeling every once in a while. I find it particularly relaxing, so I’ll play a song to help you that way.

I do hope you don’t have any annoying noise around you, it might make it difficult to listen properly to the song I proposed you. But when we think about it, it’s not the noise that disrupts it, but the annoyance it creates in your mind. You can find yourself actually assimilating the sounds that surround you. Some are more difficult to assimilate than others. Some require your attention, some fear nothing more than getting it. For some you will need to dissecate them into different, more basic sounds to fully understand it. You better not concentrate on others, because you would rapidly find that its sound parts are actually quite basic, but that it was their combination that made them magic and that all you had to do was to sit back and enjoy.

The song I am talking about is indeed the sound of silence, or the absence of sound. :) I think it is the most powerful sound, as it can make any human being, regardless of his culture, personality or physiology, shed tears of joy and tears of sadness. But silence is also the most silent of sounds, the complete absence of it. One may argue that therefore, any noise, any other sound spoils silence. But what I experience is that once you assimilated a certain sound, once you accepted its nature and its value, once you made yourself a clear idea of what it represents to you, it ends up echoing, reinforcing the silence itself.

Noise that reinforces its absence…strange paradox, don’t you find?
Is it real or is it a trick of the mind?
Or maybe both?

I can only speculate.
