Description
Deinonychus antirrhopus, pencil 2014. Based on Palaeontologist Robert Bakker's iconic original life reconstruction of the animal. The illustrations in his 1986 book The Dinosaur Heresies were the single biggest influence on my own palaeontography early on (not Greg Paul's Predatory Dinosaurs of the World as so many of my peers). For this I created this homage.

I LOVE this remake! I hope we find the colouration and life habits of deinonychus, see if it was antisocial, lived in a social unit, or lived in pairs, what it's face was like, and stuff. I also wonder, did ALL maniraptorans have primary feathers, or did some, like utahraptor, have reduced or absent primaries.
