Like the tree in winter
Trees need a period of rest and retreat during winter to prepare for the coming spring. They lose their leaves and retreat into their trunk to conserve energy.
We humans also sometimes need times of silence and retreat to recover and gather new strength. We should learn to recognize our limits and allow ourselves enough time for rest and relaxation in order to keep ourselves healthy and productive.
So yes, it can make sense sometimes to be like trees in winter and take time for rest and relaxation.
In winter the tree sleeps, mute and alone,
Its leaves fall, the frost makes them cry.
We imitate him, treat ourselves to rest,
In the silence we recognize what we are doing in our hearts.
Like a tree in winter, still and strong,
Let's find peace in the darkness, our source of strength strong.
In this stillness new life grows,
And in spring we blossom, full of splendor and chorus.
