music cover_progression

This is a very recent client job for a music company I did via Funnypages, our company. I don't normally post client work for multiple reasons, but this was a small job that I don't any of you will ever see. This isn't one of my favorites, its a quick job, but I really liked how the color came out and thought it would make a nice progression sample to see how it improved/changed from sketch to inks to final color. My buddy and former Disney painter, Chuck Vollmer painted it. Even with him only doing a simple coloring style (airbrushy style, over flats) his color sense makes this thing work. He had to fight with my chunky inks on this one too. I wish I had asked Santa for some new brush markers! I like how a couple of the background characters came out though.
