One of the best Théoden I've seen. But if you allow me to do a small canonical critic : Eomer is recognized by his white plume so I guess horsehair plumes, or at least white plumes, are kinda rare in Rohan ;)

I thought they were a sort of "badge" for éored leaders, and Théoden, being their king and leading the host of Mark, should belong to their ranks. It should be an useful sign to recognize the leader in the middle of a battle.

Given to the words of the knights of Rohan I don't belive so : "Théoden King is dead but Eomer King ride now ! The one with the white plume in the wind" (or something like that).
But may be the distinctive sign is the plume or may be all leaders have plumes but Eomer is the only one with a white one. Both options work. ;)

Yes, the text speaks about a white crest. Anyway, Éomer was still quite close and easily recognizable, being very tall (as Legolas said previously). In the ancient cultures, especially if horse-related, a crest made of horse hair was quite common. Furthermore Éomer was Théoden's nephew and heir, so I don't see anything strange in them sharing a decoration on their helmet. I don't really think there was shortage of horse manes in Rohan...

That's true. I stay on my own vision of that (as Eomer's crest is the only one mentionned) but I'm not gonna complain about yours anymore ;)

Farewell Mr.Cotton !

I like it. It's a bit more like how I imagined Theoden in the books, and it's different from movie Theoden.
