From one artist to another: Please read my message until the end. I would like to ask something of you. You drew a picture in regards to "Japan 2011-03-11". I would linke to use your piece of art for my project. I started this project on facebook, you will find it under Pray & Remember 2011-03-11 or follow the link. I don't want that catastrophe to be forgotten. Too many Japanese had to give their lives. I want to show them respect - the dead as well as the survivors. Let us both achieve something. Of course your name will be mentioned - it is your piece of art after all. Even if you do not want to participate in this project I would be more than happy if you had a look at the project. I am thankful for every member. I want to reach out to as many people as possible. I thank you very much for reading until the end. Thank you, my friend. www.facebook.com/groups/221531…

The memory of this desaster is still in my bones.
What you created with this piece is an amazingly calm mood. Such that always come after the big blow.
It's when nature says to us: "This is what we are. You're as beautiful and fragile as I am. Why don't you take a moment to realize that?" It is sad what happened, yes. But it's the circle of life. Nothing is forever.
What remains at the edge is the beauty of nature that tells us to be strong, to never give up hope, to help each other creating a better future for our children. Because if we harm the planet, we take away our own place to live on.
If we work together with that planet, life will be more shiny, even if there will always be forces we cannot fight. But these experiences make us stronger. They do, if we learn from them. Otherwise all the innocent victims would have died in vain.

Japan is my Most favorite nation. The Japanese people are respectable workers, creatives, and strong people.

And I love them!!

They will always Stand Up.

This work brings back memories of the pictures I remember seeing in my American history textbooks, especially during WWII and right after the terrorist attacks of 9-11. It's a very good representation of a nation that's been beaten down, but will get back up and thrive.

Creepy and beautifully done, but I think you should make some changes in the front part.

In my opinion, considering the background and the idea, the newspapers are not messy enough... is like somebody picked them nicely and placed them there carefully for a photo... and that mobile phone is too much half-opened, I think.

Or maybe there is some meaning I haven't cached at a first glance?

Japan is stronger when everyone can imagine.
I don't say it's not of a big deal, allot people died after all,
but Japan will go further and will be strong for those who lost their lives.

I thought of tokyogenso as soon as I heard of the disaster. This a very good response.

Yes. Japan will indeed "Stand Up" once again due to the tenacity of the Japanese spirit.

A poignant image tokyogenso.

I do pray for Japan. (I lived in both Kobe and Tokyo in the mid-1970's).

Take care,
