Non-Physical Traits

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 22, 2014, 11:56 PM

Traits are permanently attached to your Tokota, and provide a number of advantages. There are different methods of earning traits.

A Tokota can have a maximum of seven traits at Submissive and Average and can have ten traits maximum at Dominant and Alpha. An extra trait slot is purchasable in the bank for an Elemental Heart at the Soul Pool. This limit only counts towards hereditary non-physical traits. Physical Traits, Merit Traits, Alpha Traits and those purchased from the Soul Pool do not count against your available trait slots.

If you have a trait you no longer wish to make use of you can replace them with a new trait, but you will not get this old trait back.
It is possible to remove a trait and have it placed into your bank by use of a PotA token. You can learn more about PotA tokens and how to obtain them here: Passage of the Alpha

For physical traits, see here!

So... can offering to the gods be used on any breeding the owner does? Or can it only be used on breedings in which the tokota with that trait are being used as a sire/dam?

Does Aipaq's fortune only affect the parent with the specific traits or does the 10% increase apply to both parents?

It applies to both parents, but like most things in breeding, it will not stack if both parents have it. Hope that helps :)

Chimerism is a completely random mutation, so its possible in any breeding you do, having a chimeric parent or not will not make a difference. Mauja's draw will give it a boost :)

I know Atokas can’t have physical traits, but they can have non physical traits?
(Also, off topic, but if you breed an Atoka to a Rare Mane Dire, and the pup is an Atoka, could it be a Rare Mane carrier?)

What would Akna presence do to Dire x Dire breedings? :3
Reply
:iconharukithewolf:
Not an Admin but... i think it would do nothing.... in breedings since it only gives you more slots for female tokos..
Akna's Presence i think only apply on normal and toki builds... to change the max. slots for females...

Exemplary Dire Blood is for dires... and it doesnt do anything in breeding aswell it pass only... you just have more max slots for breeding to use...

Does this mean those taming perks can not be used in literature taming entries?

Can't seem to find this question but i may not ahve looked through enough :'D

But with the passionate trait, does it affect the Tokota or the breeder? Like the Tokota itself can breed over the monthly limit ONCE
or
one person can only utilize the trait per month?
Reply
:iconfurreon:
Furreon Featured By Owner Mar 9, 2018  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Passionate traits are limited in usage by person, not tokota. Each person has one Passionate and one Passionate II breeding per month available, it does not matter which tokota has the trait nor if the tokota's trait has been used already for that month. The only thing that matters is if you have your Passionate "slots" still available for the month.

* repeating my question here maybe it's a better place xD

Hey there ^^ I have a question to this:

"upgrade for Quick learner I and Quick learner II!
Tokotas that are alpha with the Quick Learner I trait will have a small chance to find 1-2 HP tokens, and tokotas that are alpha with the Quick Learner II trait will have a small chance to find 1-3 HP tokens. "

Now I got my first rolls as alpha with 9 HP and 8HP due to Quick Learner. How exactly do I apply this to another Toko? comments.deviantart.com/1/7107… and comments.deviantart.com/1/7107…

Thankies

Hello, I'm probably blind but I can't seem to find any links of how to apply traits / trait tokens.
Can they be added to an already uploaded and established Tokota or only to a geno before it has a design?
(and also actually may I ask about Elemental Hearts too while I'm here - how to apply them to 'upgrade' a trait to II? )

Non-physical traits can only be applied to an uploaded tokota currently, but this can be done in the bank journal under "Apply Item to Tokota"
Elemental Hearts are also used in the bank "Elemental Heart Application", the link is right below the first one I mentioned. :>

When I give my 75% Dire girl Luna, Exemplary Dire Blood, how many slot could she get more? Since she has only 3 as I tamed her.

As her slots were strictly limited, she will unfortunately not be eligible for additional breeding slots through the addition of EDB. (However, she may still carry it to pass it along to pups if she has slots remaining!)

Quick question! If your old tokotas (I'm talking mine in the like 10k and less ID range) have their AoAs complete, do they get updated with one of the Rite of Merit traits?

Any tokota who has earned their AoA should have a merit trait but sometimes it can get missed in the process. ^^ If your tokota is missing their trait you can go ahead and note the group and we'll get that fixed for you.

The earned merit traits have been a part of the Rite of Fertility for a very long time, before there were other traits. I'm not sure if they were there from the beginning of the game, but I know they had been a thing when I first joined myself about three years ago. c:

I don't believe it was an option back when I'm talking from. It was never something asked for by artists or any forms that had to be filled out for the Rites in the descriptions, so they may of been automatic if they were there.

As far as I know we've always had the three traits (Wild/Partnership/Honor) and then added the different forms of them when the toki build was introduced (Wily/Tracker/Obedient) if that helps you. ^^ But any tokota that has done at least the Rite of Merit should have the applicable merit trait so if you do happen to stumble upon one of yours with the comment on the award wall but no trait in the description that is something we should be able to fix.
