Crafting Recipe List

Crafting is an activity in which you can turn materials from hunting, exploration, fishing, and caving into various beneficial items for your Tokota. You can also find recipes via exploration, caving and diving that will unlock new items for you to make. Lower rank recipes can be used to craft higher-rank recipes.

How to Craft

In order to begin crafting, you must create a crafting tracker journal. Like other tracking journals required by the group, this can be combined with your activity and career trackers. There must be an easily located comment on which admins can reply with recipe contents. If you delete this journal or otherwise misplace it, you will have to start again at tier one. Admins are not responsible for checking your previous, personal crafting journals for revealed recipes. Moving your tracker invokes the same penalty as deleting them, meaning you basically start fresh if you move your trackers.

The items required for each crafted product must be in your crafting journal and unredeemed. If you have redeemed items for TT, they are gone and you cannot use them for crafting. If you have crafting items in your bank you may use those as well, but be careful in listing your proofs for ingredients to make sure you are taking each ingredient from the correct place - otherwise your crafting request will be denied.

Some items require a recipe scroll to unlock them before you can craft them (you can read more about those and about recipes in general on the Crafting Recipe List). Recipes, when redeemed, unlock the blueprints to a "hidden" item, and the ability to craft it for whomever possesses the recipe in their crafting journal or bank. You may craft as many Common, Uncommon, or Rare recipe items per month as you wish. Legendary recipe items may be crafted twice per month per recipe, until you reach Tier 10 where the bonus allows for an extra legendary item to be crafted per month per recipe. If an item on the Crafting Price Sheet has its ingredients already listed there on the Price Sheet, you do not need a scroll to craft that item. Those items are its ingredients. These items may also be crafted as many times per month as you wish.

All combinations of ingredients and tier advancements will be done through a request in reply to the correct comment on the Cycling Crafting Journal. You will have to include a link to your crafting journal as well as the item ingredients, recipes, and proof of tier in order for your request to be completed.

Once crafted, the ingredient items will be redeemed from your bank or admin comment, and you will be given the crafted item if it was successful. Crafted items are applied through the Toko Tokens Bank just like any other item. To transfer them, you must use the Crafting Items Transfer thread on the Toko Tokens Bank.

Crafting Tiers

Your fail rate in crafting depends on your tier, which is proportional to how much crafting you have so far done successfully. Everyone begins at Tier One automatically. At higher tiers, you will also gain bonuses. "Successfully crafted items" can be anything! Spools, fabric dye, leather, tack, etc. Anything you have successfully combined into one product can count.

Previous tiers' successes count towards your next tier. For example, if you craft the five items you need to get to Tier 2, that means you only need 10 more successfully crafted items plus the five you already had in order to reach Tier 3, and so on.

Maps are redeemed in your Tokotna Bank Account under Consumables. Exquisite Bone Flutes and Thread of Fate are redeemed at the Breeding page in the Abandoned Pups thread.

Yep, they're the same. Leather is the same as Leather Strips. Dye is the same as Fabric Dye.

Crafting journals are no longer needed as both crafting material storage and crafting itself and all aspects of it (crafting, revealing recipes, tiers) are all hosted on the tokotna website.

I have a couple recipies that I've successfully crafted and have been added to my bank, but I've been out the loop for a while - how do I now provide prove of my achievements to level up my tier if its all on the website now?

Adding on...

If you are referring to you successes that you've completed not on the site. Unfortunately, you'll be unable to transfer them over as last month was the last month to transfer them over as stated in the news journal. (2/08/2019)

Everything's completely automated now. For your recipes, if you click the crafting button there is a 'reveal recipe' button

No, thats not what I mean. When you wanted to level up your crafting tier, you had to provide proof of your completion of the requirements (aka example of would be 5 common recipies and 2 uncommon recipies/successful crafts). If crafting is automatic, how do you provide proof you've crafted what you need to?

That's what I'm saying, LOL. you don't need proof coz it's all automated. If you go the crafting hut, it shows you what you need to rank up. It should look like this:

Crafting hut by Freyjas-Tokotas  (please excuse my wonky lines)
So, the red circle shows you what you need to do next, so for me I need: 200 Total Successes, 5 Legendary Successes, 50 Total Recipes Unlocked, 10 Rare or Higher Recipes Unlocked
The blue circle shows you what recipes you've unlocked (the number of each tier)
The green one shows your success in each tier

Hope that helps :D

Oh, I see. Well, in that case I have some inconsitancies in my account. I have a couple of registers successes that are in my account, but not listed as successes? I have the comments still and the items are in my bank so I'm confused if they've been logged or not haha XD The switch from DA to .com has thrown me a little

Thank you for this x

No problem! Did you get a comment saying it had been moved over to Tokotna? (there was a journal to do this on) If it has, note the group with all your relevant info and our bankers can take a look for you. If not, I have a feeling the deadline for transferring everything over has passed and you'll have to start from scratch (or, at least, where you are up to on the site, if that makes sense :XD: )

The comment saying the item was moved over to my bank, or that the craft was successful and added to my account?

Is there a possibility to get my successes added to the website?

hi, ever since the tokotna Halloween error thingy I have not had a single crafting attempt work. I have attempted to crafted 10 times in a row with all of them failing. I think there has to be an error in the programing or something. I have wasted a huge number of crafting materials. could someone please fix it. (if you need proof look at my crafting history, the last success was before the error.)
thanks :3

I spoke with our coder, and they confirmed that the error we had around Halloween had absolutely nothing to do with Crafting and wouldn't have affected your fail/success rate in any way. ;v; Tier 1 is the hardest tier by far, so just keep trying. <3 You'll get your successes in time.

okay, it was kind of getting out of hand, the tier 1 should be 1/4 crafting attempts succeed, so the likeliness of having 10 fails in a row is very little. guess it is just my luck.
thanks for checking :3

I can pass it along to our coder, but because you're tier 1, that's likely the culprit. ;u; It's normal to have a lot of failed attempts in the beginning because your fail rate is so high.

Question, where do I rank up the Tier now?
Does it happen automatically on the site or what?

It happens automatically. ^^
But if you had successes saved in a journal then it would need to be transferred over.

Alright.
For me it says I have everything needed for the rank up, but I'm still at 9.
Think I had 3 legendary crafts being transfered over, and I'd done 2 at the site.
They were the last things I needed ^^
Maybe if I craft something now it'll rank up?

As far as I'm aware it should work. ^^
I haven't had a problem with the auto rank up, but if you have any issues with it please note the group, so it can be looked into :)

Hey! So, I am just curious about how stuff works with crafting ingredients now. I had a bunch of stuff in my crafting stash, but I haven't moved anything from there across to tokotna.com . I wanted to transfer a bunch of it to a tribemate, do I need to have it all added to tokotna.com now before I can transfer it to them? ^^;

To transfer any items they need to be deposited onto tokotna.

Items are all deposited via the monthly toko tokens bank journal.
To read up more on the bank you can go here : Tokotas New Bank Information

Deposits and work similar to how they were before, jusr that now everything can be deposited, even crafting items.

Unfortunately you'll need to deposit everything through their correct thread when the group reopens.

Since successes are tracked by the user, it needs to be "transferred" over to the site.
This can be be done over at the monthly crafting journal. ^^

So to get to tier 2 you have to have 5 successful crafting. To get to tier e you need 15.

Do the 5 from the first tier count to the 15 or do you need a whole new 15?

Everything stacks. So if you get your 5 for tier 2, you only need 10 more for tier 3. c:
