Crafting is an activity in which you can turn materials from hunting, exploration, fishing, and caving into various beneficial items for your Tokota. You can also find recipes via exploration, caving and diving that will unlock new items for you to make. Lower rank recipes can be used to craft higher-rank recipes.
How to Craft
In order to begin crafting, you must create a
crafting tracker journal. Like other tracking journals required by the group, this can be combined with your activity and career trackers. There must be an
easily located comment on which admins can reply with recipe contents. If you delete this journal or otherwise misplace it, you will have to start again at tier one. Admins are not responsible for checking your previous, personal crafting journals for revealed recipes. Moving your tracker invokes the same penalty as deleting them, meaning you basically start fresh if you move your trackers.
The items required for each crafted product
must be in your crafting journal and unredeemed. If you have redeemed items for TT, they are gone and you cannot use them for crafting. If you have crafting items in your bank you may use those as well, but be careful in listing your proofs for ingredients to make sure you are taking each ingredient from the correct place - otherwise your crafting request will be denied.
Some items require a recipe scroll to unlock them before you can craft them (you can read more about those and about recipes in general on the
Crafting Recipe List). Recipes, when redeemed, unlock the blueprints to a "hidden" item, and the ability to craft it for whomever possesses the recipe in their crafting journal or bank. You may craft as many
Common, Uncommon, or Rare recipe items per month as you wish.
Legendary recipe items may be crafted twice per month per recipe, until you reach Tier 10 where the bonus allows for an extra legendary item to be crafted per month per recipe. If an item on the
Crafting Price Sheet has its ingredients already listed there on the Price Sheet, you do not need a scroll to craft that item. Those items are its ingredients. These items may also be crafted as many times per month as you wish.
All combinations of ingredients and tier advancements will be done through a request in reply to the correct comment on the
Cycling Crafting Journal. You will have to include a link to your crafting journal as well as the item ingredients, recipes, and proof of tier in order for your request to be completed.
Once crafted, the ingredient items will be redeemed from your bank or admin comment, and you will be given the crafted item if it was successful. Crafted items are applied through the Toko Tokens Bank just like any other item. To transfer them, you must use the Crafting Items Transfer thread on the Toko Tokens Bank.
Crafting Tiers
Your fail rate in crafting depends on your tier, which is proportional to how much crafting you have so far done successfully.
Everyone begins at Tier One automatically. At higher tiers, you will also gain bonuses. "Successfully crafted items" can be anything! Spools, fabric dye, leather, tack, etc. Anything you have successfully combined into one product can count.
Previous tiers' successes count towards your next tier. For example, if you craft the five items you need to get to Tier 2, that means you only need 10 more successfully crafted items plus the five you already had in order to reach Tier 3, and so on.
