Commission: Hermes.

Or, L'Amour selon Hermès.

My dear friend commissioned me to draw the Greek messenger god Hermes (later known as Mercury to the Romans). I knew how much she adored Alfons Maria Mucha, so I styled her request after one of his wonderful illustrations.

Normally, he's depicted with a messenger bag, winged sandals and his staff, the caduceus, but I wanted to stray away from such obvious symbols. Instead, while he still wears his winged cap, it's obscured by alll sorts of (Mucha inspired) plants, so the feathers seem to look more like part of an ornate headdress rather than functional wings.

Can you spot all of the sexual innuendo?

Anyway, if you guys are interested in commissioning me, check out my journal for pricing info. If you're thinking about doing it, you might want to jump on the chance soon. My prices will be going up soon.

Hi, I'm a beginner writer from Brazil and am developing a new project. I was wondering if by any chance I could use a couple of your images on my book, of course all credits would be there and also a note stating that the image is in use under your allowance. I thank you very much in advance and please let me know what your thoughts are.
