Chapter 14 Shine     After far too long, the sun finally rose again. Bright light bathed the flooded world in its warming rays. The wrecked trees began to bloom as the waters slowly receded away.    Well, our journey had finally come to an end. My buddy, Adam, was back to stay, Farmer Jim had returned the sun to us, the rain had ended, and The Devil was stopped for good. Everything seemed to turn out just fine...except for one thing…   The animals should have been overjoyed by this sudden turn. But they weren’t. There was a sense of melancholy among them. Because they hadn’t all made it.   T.K. was lying motionless where The Devil had blasted him earlier. Adam picked up the small critter’s hat and placed it back on his head.   “Thanks, kid...for everything,” he said, weakly. Chapter 13 Raise the Sun, Adam!   “Oh, dee-oh, dee-uh, deee-dee...oh shucks,” Porky groaned as he held up the flashlight.   The farm animals assumed that a few days had passed, being in the midst of a storm with no sight of sun left them a little confused about how much time had passed. No word back from T.K. or the others. And no sign of Adam, either. The entire house was flooded with the bed being the only thing they could float on.   And the flashlight was fading again. The last battery was out of juice…   “Boy, I hate bein’ right…” Cranston sighed.   “I don’t wanna get devoured. Sounds painful!” T.W. moaned.   “Porky! It’s dying!” Clarabelle yelped.     “Oh no, NO NO!” Porky cried as the flashlight finally died…just as a shadow fell over the other farm animals.   “Ohhhh yes, yes YES~” chuckled its owner. Chapter 3… King led the four very confused monsters down the stairs. It was a bit more difficult for Ariel, who had to slide after being in that tub, but she seemed to be keeping up fine. Legoshi looked around, confused about what was going on. Who did this to them? And why? He still felt his hunter’s instinct, the lycanthrope’s desire to hunt, shred, and bite…but he also felt a voice in the back of his head telling him that’s not the right thing to do. He never felt this before… They came down to the landing, where someone was singing softly to himself. “What’s this? What’s this? There’s odd things in the air. What’s this? What’s this? There won’t be much despair…” The most striking thing about this person was that he was a skeleton man who could actually look down on Legoshi and wore a black and white suit. He was decorating some Jack O’Lanterns, but looked over when he heard the others approaching. “Oh, splendid! Splendid!” he said, happily. He cleared his throat before

Chapter 12 Never Let A Duck Drive   Ribby and Croaks screeched to a halt, coming up on Dice’s trailer.   “This where they went?” Ribby asked.   “‘COURSE dis is where dey went,” Croaks snapped, punching Ribby. “Where else COULD dey’ve gone?”   “Well maybe we lost ‘em. It’s a big lot!” Ribby pointed out.   “You sayin’ it’s my fault?!” Croaks growled.   “SO WHAT IF I AM?!” Ribby squinted, walloping Croaks right back. 

A bell dinged as they began pummeling each other. The two amphibians were so busy fighting that they didn’t notice the group quietly sidle out of the trailer, carrying Adam’s unconscious form with them.   “Don’t think we can all fit on the motorcycle. Any other ideas?” Baloo whispered.   “LOOK!” Daffy exclaimed, pointing...and dropping Adam’s head right on the ground with a THUMP. Chapter 11 With Apologies to Scheherazade   Sir Pentious yawned as he exhaustedly peered through a pair of binoculars while floating along on his now semi-functional jetpack, which sputtered like a lawnmower that was on its last legs. Because it was. He’d been searching the skies for his prey for days now. And still had no luck in finding them.   “Must keep looking...else The Devil will have my skin for a new pursssse,” he groaned as the still-malfunctioning cassette player turned on again.   Sunshine, lollipops, there’s rainbows-   “Starting to think Graves and Joe were both onto something,” he grumbled as he flew over the Warbler Brothers studio lot. And his eyes widened as he spotted something.   Ribby and Croaks were dragging Baloo, T.K., Applejack, and Daffy towards a giant purple trailer belonging to King Dice. All four were still tangled in a net as they were thrown inside, with the frog brothers hooking it to the ceiling and hoisting them up.   “Let us out!” T.K.

Chapter 8 I2I   Meanwhile, back on the farm, a beam of light streamed out of the massive hole in the roof, illuminating the otherwise dark and stormy torrential downpour. Waters continued to flow in, leaving T.K.’s entire room. The bed floated around along with the various other bits of furniture and the former boy’s assorted toys and collectibles. The animals were stranded, clinging to the bed and other floating furniture while Porky Pig held the flashlight aloft like it were Excalibur itself.   He then yelped as the battery’s light began to dim, “Oh no, it’s dee-uh-dy-dee-uh-uh...it’s fading fast! Clarabelle! Any more be-uh-bee-bee-batteries?”   “I just got these two,” Clarabelle said, with a frightened voice, as she held up the only batteries they managed to scavenge before the room got too flooded.   “Well, we’re all gonna die,” Cranston murmured, spitting off some cud.   “My fortune cookie predicted this too…thought it was overly-specific more than usual, but guess it was an

Chapter 9 The Heart of a Hound   Adam sat in his dressing room, staring at himself in the mirror, wondering what the heck just happened. The concert had gone off without a hitch, someone practically walked into him, and then...THAT. His head was still reeling from that. Out of everything he experienced since moving from Bluthville, that’s what threw him off the most. The other lady dogs that attended his shows were quite vocal about being into him, but none of them just...flat-out did THAT.   The OTHER thing that was confusing him was the distinct absence of Ribby and Croaks. Typically, the two frogs were practically glued to him, refusing to let anyone besides King Dice get within spitting distance of him for ‘safety reasons’. Even that little bat-eared kid was considered a threat. Adam felt sorry for the little guy. Something about how he looked told him a lot. Chapter 6 Taking the World by Storm   Back in the lair of The Devil, clouds continued to be spewed out of the top, floating off to continue the torrential downpour. As dark and dreadful as ever and whose machinations were uninterrupted. All just as the owner desired.   Inside, though, it was quite different. Among the typical stalactites, fire, and brimstone, there were now paper lanterns, a koi pond, and a whole hibachi grill set up.
