fankyoo ever so much for taking the time to critique this. I worked super hard on it and its nice to see that you picked up on so many of the details. Her paws are supposed to be semi sorta clenched. not into fists but sorta hook shaped as if shes about to stretch as far as she can and spread her paws trying to reach the mobile. I adore drawing eyes. on test sheets at work its eyes I draw. I mindlessly doodle them everywhere so I like when eyes come out the way I wanted them to. So sparkly *pokes*
Reach for it
Fankyoo for critiquing this. this is the first piece of art that ive ever actually had the guts to allow critiques on simply because I think at the moment this is the best I can actually do. now that you point out the TV, you're right, it's not quite right is it?
Backgrounds are by far and above the things that cause me the most grief. I normally avoid them like the plague and so I tried stupidly hard on this one, and again you're right it needs sorting out a bit. I havent added any textures or any proper lighting really but there was something about the pic that just didnt seem to call for stuff like that. I felt like I was in danger of ruining it if I went any further with it.
*hugs* fankyoo again for being my first artwork critiquer *hugs*
No cares
WOW. Thank you ever so much. I agree with the magic thing its one of those instant easy to use excuses isn't it. Lazy on my part I suppose. :) I thought about using some kind of regressive edible gel on the pacifier. Maybe i'll tweak the story to make it like that instead. Magic does tend to be a bit wishy washy and I try to use it sparingly because its just too convenient. There's no questions as to how she came by this magic, We just accept it.
Room for improvement indeed, and it is also tricky not to get caught up in the regression and plough on ahead regardless of pacing. I dragged it out as long as I could. Always I had the end in sight and I was really eager to get to that little bit. When Carrie realises whats going on is my most favourite part (oh and where the cheerleaders are moving jazz around in cheerleading moves) not realising she used to be the captain.
I get a real thrill from very successful independant types ending up helpless and vulnerable and so Whilst I wrote this story for foxingtons contest, in equal amounts I really wrote this for me :)
Thank you ever so much for taking the time to critique this, as a writer yourself i'm sure you're aware of how crucial constructive criticism is to a writer. It's what keeps me ticking.
*hugs*
Thank you ever so much for the critique. It really made my day. I've been a major fan of your work for quite some time and I guess Promoted and Stranded are reflections of your influence.

As always the female main part is always how I see myself. We might have different apperances or jobs or whatever, but deep down, what the female thinks and does is what I would say or do. I find it easy to put myself into the character, so i'm glad that people can sympathise with her.

I have a couple more of these sorts of stories up my sleeve, but after that i'm worried I might be flogging a dead horse in terms of plot structure. I don't know. I'm sure something else will pop out of the woodwork. Hehehe.

Again thank yoo ever so much. You've made this little girl one very happy cookie
