At the End of the Work Day

This was my entry for the Red Sonja cover contest on Instagram put on by Dynamite Comics back at the end of 2014ish. It was another step up in my digital painting game, having absorbed all kinds of wonderful tips and tricks from the great Aaron Blaise's tutorials. I had employed some of them starting half way through my work on Ohrim vs the Cave Squid, but this was the first piece that I attempted using those methods start to finish. It didn't win, but I'm still proud of this piece (though it's full of problems) as a bit of a milestone in my art process.
