Toby Robin O'Keefe and the Harlequin from HellChapter 2
Toby, intent on rescuing the captured girls, focused her attention entirely on the giant sphere floating over Greendale. As she pedaled, the massive orb seemed to grow ever larger, until it almost filled the sky –
“T-T-T-Toby?” Terry’s quavering voice broke Toby’s concentration. “W-what’s h-happening?”
“What do you mean, Ter?” Toby called over her shoulder, keeping her eyes on her target.
Toby glanced down – then her eyes widened and she gasped with surprise. The street, which she’d expected to see right beneath her wheels, was far below her – and getting further away all the time. Somehow, she and Terry were flying!
The shock caused both girls to stop pedaling – and their bikes immediately nosedived. “Oh, jeeps!” Toby cried, eying the rapidly-approaching ground. Panicking,
Toby Robin O'Keefe and the Harlequin from HellChapter 1
A typical balmy spring day in Greendale; the final bell at Sacred Heart Elementary had sounded, and swarms of scarlet-and-gray-clad schoolgirls poured from the exits, heading for buses, bicycles, or the long walk home.
Taking a slight detour from their usual routes home were Toby Robin O’Keefe, Terry Blair, Jody Fitzgerald, and Doris Wade. The two sixth graders had been assigned to help Jodie and Doris with their upcoming third-grade science fair project, and they were all headed to the Greendale Library to start researching. Toby and Terry walked their bikes behind the two younger girls, who lived in walking distance of the school (and the library). Hovering overhead, unnoticed by anyone, were two spherical drones, one pink, one purple. Resembling giant eyeballs with pigtails, in seconds the machines located their targets and locked on.
“Where’s Margaret today?” Jodie asked Doris, Margaret being Doris' older sister and T
The Pirates' TreasureFlashlight beams illuminated the marshes surrounding Greendale as Toby and Terry slogged through knee-deep water.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?" Terry asked.
"The map said it's around here somewhere," replied Toby.
"The only thing around here is quicksand, and plenty of it," Terry groused, just loud enough for Toby to hear.
They'd gone a few more steps when Terry yelped in pain. "Ow!"
"What's the matter?"
"I hit my shin against something!"
"What? What is it?"
Terry probed with her hands. "It it feels like like a chest! Toby, it feels like a treasure chest!"
The girls quickly dragged the chest to dry land and pried it open. Their flashlights revealed piles of gold doubloons and pieces of eight.
"Jeeps," said Toby. "I guess this proves that old saying."
"What old saying?"
"That booty is only shin deep."
The Winter Carnival Mystery"So, let's see," Toby said. "The star of the winter carnival's juggling act has disappeared."
"That's right," replied Sister Mary Helen, who'd organized the carnival.
"She's been kidnapped."
"Kidnapped? But there's been no ransom demand!"
"There won't be any."
"The kidnapper wants to ruin the carnival by taking away your star attraction," Toby explained.
"I did put Leslie Morgan on permanent detention yesterday. She told me she'd get revenge."
"That's probably who's responsible."
"Jeeps!" said Terry. "How'd you figure that out?"
"Simple, Terr. Everyone knows the best way to kill a carnival is to go for the juggler."

Sara Watson rushed to the sixth-grade table in the Sacred Heart cafeteria. "Toby O'Keefe, you're a fraud!" she accused.
"What do you mean?" Toby, who was eating lunch with Terry, asked.
"You said I'd find my missing bracelet in a fruit tree. I looked in every cherry tree in town, and I didn't find it!"
"You weren't listening. The bird that stole your bracelet makes its nest in a citrus fruit tree, not just a fruit tree."
"You mean I'll find the bracelet in a in a --"
"Don't say it," Terry begged.
But Toby would not be denied. "In a lemon tree, my dear Watson."
This is the official group of Toby Robin, the best 12 years old girl detective in the entire city of Greendale during non-school hours.
Hmmm… Maybe I shouldn't be that specific…
Anyways, here are the rules for this group:
