Viking 1 - Mars 1976

This is part of a new series with a historical journey through the solar system. I wanted to create a small memento of the beginning of space missions and have recreated NASA's early space probes using old pictures and information. Viking 1 transported a lander to Mars, which sent the first colour images of the surface. It was active until 1982.
