Credit to Steven Hillenburg- SpongeBob SquarePants Requested by Note: This takes place in an AU where SpongeBob episodes are connected (less episodic) and certain aspects are adjusted such as friendships and personalities. This short story takes place near the end of “Your Shoe’s Untied” (…) It was a dark and silent night in the town of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob was heading back to his home after a failed attempt to tie his shoes with his latest “helper”, The Flying Dutchman, was unable to help him due to the fact that ghosts of his kind don’t wear shoes; they would wear socks instead. SpongeBob would normally be in his cheerful bubbly personality, but ever since that morning, he was unable to efficiently work at the Krusty Krab or live out his normal life without getting a facefull of sand and rubble due to forgetting how to tie his shoes.  After a couple of faceplants, SpongeBob finally made it home after dragging himself amongst the gravel.
