March 2017 Gnarltastic Challenge!
Hello everyone. It's the start of a new month and that can only mean one thing... a fresh challenge!
For March we are going to have some fun with a favourite style for many fractal artists; gnarls. These beautiful curly forms are full of potential and lend themselves well to distinctive colour palettes. Your objective this month is to produce images that have typical (curly) gnarl forms - how you do that is entirely up to you. You have a free hand to choose whatever formulas, colourings and mappings you like just make sure the gnarl/s are clearly visible and curly in shape. Check out the examples below if you are unsure about what a gnarl looks like.
You can find gnarl formulas in:dav.ufm - check out formulas with the letters 'tdds' in the titleeew.ufmgnd.ufmjh.ufmom.ufmmt.ufmtma2.ufm You can find gnarl coloring algorithms in:akl.ucl and akl-m-mt.uclgnd.uclmt.ucltma.ucl You can find gnarl tra
