Mother
My mother is a falling star. Leaving all that is golden about her in her trail until she is nothing but blackness, or maybe a grey rock that crashes through a window and into someone's loft. She was the bubbling youth, all the freshness of spring and attractiveness of summer molded into a human being. At least that's how I remember her. It's not how my siblings will. They might treasure memories of dinners and bed-time stories the way I treasure the memory of girl's night out with the daughter in tow. I always found falling stars sad. Bleeding out all their glitter on the way down to rock hard ground. Going from something I always imagined

Methods to Madness: Villains
Methods to Madness Character Creation Insight Villains Villains, bad guys, antagonists…call them what you will, but every story has them. In a fit of possible madness, I’ve decided to jot down my usual process for creating my villains for a tale. Mind you, I don’t consider myself as a shining example of writing prowess, but we’re only looking at my thinking here. I’m not expecting to make people go “This guy is totally on to something here!” or anything, just an explanation on my usual creative choices with what I consider one of the best parts in a story. Now, let’s get to some bad guys! First, l

How to survive Anime North 09
When I went to my first Anime North 7 years ago, I was floored by how big it was and how overwhelming everything seemed to be. At that time, I could really have used a guide, but none seemed to exist. So if this is your first time or your 3rd time, I hope you can learn something new and get the most out of Canada’s largest anime convention. Preparation So you’ve bought your tickets, booked your hotel, and arranged transportation to and from the Congress Centre. Now all you have to do is count down the days right? Not quite. There are a couple of other things you should prepare for. Money When you’re in the Dealer’s Ro

Always hard to pick a category for a dream that contains fanfiction-like elements... but the dream really did happen, so it should be considered non-fiction. I hope. ^^;

The most likely interpretation for this dream runs along the thought of how obsessed I've been over applying to play Riddick at Landel's, and also that I've got a lot of pent up frustration/anger that my subconscious wanted to release into an environment where it didn't matter what I did.

Shameless plug :pointr: my dream journal
Riddick (c) Universal / Vivendi (I think, I really should look that up lol)
Landel's Institute (c) [link]

Weapons of choice: subconscious adventures, WordPad, LiveJournal's spellchecker

Interesting... My dreams never make that much sense. But then I've been having nightmares again lately... Curse those nightmares! :shakefist:

GAH! I'd send Riddick with the chainsaw he seems to have found somewhere in my yead (lol) but... that might make your dreams worse in the end. ^^;
