Yeah!!

I'm 27 and I just got myself a Pikachu hat for winter. :D I can probably only pull this off 'cause I look about 16-18. (Except some say I'm too old for it or think I'm just weird, so I'm not going to show it off too much. >_>)

I've never played the games, (I hope to one day!!), but I just like the idea (I also love fantasy and sci-fi anyway) and they're all so cute/cool/big and scary/awesome. I'm going to make some of my faves, starting with Vulpix, thanks to [link]
Yay!!

Ooooh have fun with the papercrafts! I don't have a printer (yet, boy do I have some odd things on the "buy sometime" list ^^; ) so papercrafts are out for me for now. And I'd totally wear that hat, and I turn 35 in a couple months. :giggle:

That's the hat at Hot Topic, (I'm not goth or something, I only like them for their cute stuff/fandom stuff). It is a little pricey, but not horrible. I only got it 'cause I had a 15 percent off discount.

I GOTTA GO TELL MY MOM. She thinks I'm too old for Pokemon when I'm in my teens! Then again, she is really judgmental... If I actually told her that you play Pokemon, she would say that you need to get a life and move out of you parents house...

She's mean....

Anyway! Great stamp! I bet it was convenient to those old time Pokemon fans!

Pff. I live in my own apartment and don't speak to my "parents" and never will. They're ridiculously judgmental, among other things (sound familiar?). You should like what you like, it's your life!:D

Thankye, yeah I'm turning 35 the day the world ends (silly Mayans) and still pick up Pokemon Black every once in a while to grind some levels.

Wow. I feel for ya man, you probably have it rougher than me because your older. Ah well, gonna be able to move out in a few years, no need to worry anymore after that. :XD:

A birthday on the supposed end of the world. You have defied logic.

Did you get Pokemon black/ white 2 yet? It's one of the best Pokemon games I've played.

Eh, life goes on, and yes, stepping out into the world makes all the difference. :D

Who needs logic, we has Pokemans! :giggle:

I haven't picked it up yet, I should look into it... well okay it probably falls into the "no more other stuff before I finish building my computer" category. My 1GHZ piece of crap machine is trying to die on me, and has been for longer than is sane. ^^; Sooo yeah... yay buying a new mecha-uber-gamer-thing one piece at a time. XD

YES, Pokemanz. >: D

Yeah, wouldn't blame you, gotta get the important stuff out of the way first. The games nothing in comparison to the HG/SS and partially the Pearl/Diamond/Platinum series, at least in the ' stuff to do after the game ' part. It's alright to get it later, after all normally I get games way after they're released.

Although I think it's still in with certain younger age groups, it's kinda a sign of the time... there's something new, Pokemon was the last great thing... orrr sorta sticking with the generation(s) that already like it. But whatevah, those who ignore it for being "old" (...old??... fark I'm old lmao *not really... much*) are losing out.

Awesome! I think Pokemon specifically is losing the "only kids play that" stigma as the gaming generation starts trucking through the 30's and beyond. Some of us, anyways. If it's fun and doesn't harm yourself or others, who the heck is to say it's wrong? :o Viva La "Pokemans!" :giggle:

I'm 33 and play Pokémon and with Legos and dolls (okay so they're dolls worth hundreds of dollars but I still get ":o" from people, as does everybody in the BJD hobby). Although I know it's tough to be in a household like that (believe me, I know, I still have nightmares)... sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and who you are. You're a human being and no longer a minor anymore, you get to have boundaries too. ...Yeah, easier said than done, but if you don't assert yourself, nobody else will. Spoken from experience. You can do it! Or... move out, if you haven't? Gogogo! :w00t:

Innnteresting. Man, my funds for next month are becoming more and more spoken for! I think I'll get Black as opposed to White, everybody I know is getting White for the legendary and the fact that it has a ton more pokemon only available in that version... but eh, I'm not thrilled with either legendary so Black it is. :XD:

I'm only 13, but I believe adults can be Pokemon fans.
It doesn't matter what your age is.
And it doesn't mean you have mental problems. My mom thinks that adults who are into Pokemon need to grow up, or they have some kind of learning disability.

O.o Wellll I suppose I wouldn't be helping her opinion, considering I have Asperger's Syndrome. 'Course, my grades were stellar through two years of college and I was beyond 12th grade reading level by 4th grade sooo... But yeah, there is one kind of maturity, wisdom, which is worth having at any age. The second kind, "I'm too old to do that silly stuff"... isn't really even maturity. In my utterly biased opinion, true maturity is when one can participate in any activity and enjoy it even if it's not supposed to be "for their age group."

I'd say you're headed straight for the right kind of maturity. Hang in there!

BEYOND 12 GRADE READING LEVEL IN THE FOURTH GRADE?? Whoa! Thats...I dunno. I have one of the highest reading levels in my grade, but not that high. I think I'm a lot more wise than the kids in my class. Some have a lot of book smarts, but not much common sense. They're always worried about who's dating and stuff like that. And they boys...are obsessed with those games, like call of duty, where you kill people! They can like it if they want, but its just, not right, I guess.
About the participate in anything thing, I don't participate in much. While others are doing something fun, I tend to stay away. NOt that I think I'm too old, its just that I don't have any friends. Plus I have a disorder called selective mutism that makes me unable to talk in certain situations. I did research on it recently, and it said that kids with sm tend to have trouble with participating in groups.

Yeah, this was back when 12th grade reading level was a lot more difficult too. Kids are graduating without being able to read properly, which I personally think is sad beyond belief. I love reading!! A guy not all that much younger than me was even in that crappy education boat. I taught myself really, as far as increasing vocab and reading speed went... it's odd to me to think that someone wouldn't do that on their own.

Meh yeah the dating/drama/gosisp thing is "normal"... hence why I like not being normal, though it sure does make life more difficult around the normals. As to CoD, heh I'm a gamer geek myself, I've done plenty of deathmatches but don't have that particular game (have done a lot of Halo 2 with my kid brother and waaaay back I used to play Duke Nukem 3D ). It does get old when it's all someone will talk about though. :dead:

Hmm Asperger's is similar but it's autism related as opposed to literally not being able to speak (if that's SM, I should look it up, I've never heard of it and am curious, so I shall! once I've slept lol, if this even makes remote sense I am doing well). When I have trouble with groups (or even just one other person, even a good friend) I *can* talk, I will probably just be horribly awkward about it if I try. ^^;

Seeing this reminded me that I'm an adult now. Wow.

Still love these games to death, even after all this time. 4th Gen was seeing my interest wane a little, but HGSS totally brought out the geeky love in full force again. Like, how every time I say "I'm done with writing Pokefics," or "this fic's my last one," MORE ideas pop into my head and demand to be written. Twisted, evil, ideas of epic lengths.

Pokemon forever (particularly Gen I/II).
