Katatonia - Lacquer 2020 - Doom metal This is probably the song I listened to the most these days. Doom metal is less aggressive than other genres of metal, with slower tempos and lyrics that evoke a sense of despair. Several pictures from my relatively recent faves, and a song from YouTube. No rules, no themes, just "things that I like" these days. Several pictures ... ... and a song ... and a contemporary dance. The 8 (Seventeen) - 海城 (Hai Cheng) 2022 - Pop ballad, mandopop The 8 (seventeen) - 深渊 (Abyss) 2022 - Contemporary dance There is a continuity between the two videos. The second one is more conceptual. The 8, whose real name is Xu Minghao (徐明浩), is Chinese. Hai Cheng (海城) is the name of his hometown, and it also means "Castle on the ocean". The 8 is a member of Seventeen, a K-pop boy band. However, these videos are not typically K-pop, and not only because the song is in Chinese. Yello - Waba Duba 2020 - EDM One would think that electronic dance music (EDM) is made by relatively young artists. However, Yello is a band from Switzerland who started producing electronic music in the late 70s, and they are still active and creative! you may have already heard another of their song, released in 1987...
