As soon as the new circus tent sprung up, beblune from all around flocked to get a taste of the fun. Young and old gathered around, beblu brought their kids, their parents, their uncles and aunts, friends, and family- it was a spectacle for all to see! The circus seemed to have everything. Tightrope walkers, clowns, carnies, beast tamers, balloon animal masters, everywhere you turned to look, there was something new to see. What a joyous place! Laugher and happiness rang through the air, gasps of excitement and shrills of amazement. Paw painting and bouncing mushrooms at almost every corner. The tent itself was absolutely massive. It towered over the surrounding trees and encompassed an entire crop field. But it seemed popular enough to warrant taking up the space, hundreds of beblu could fit into the tent at once, and the profit was nothing to scoff at. Lights flashed off the fabric of the tent, bouncing off the walls and refracting onto the bystanders. The acts continued on and on,

I could apologize for sleeping in a chrysalis. “Don’t touch me.” A dark beblune pulled his body into a stream of light that pierced through the cave wall, he ducked his head away from under the stone. The beam of light cut through the coolness that seemed to follow him, a world outside what he had been forced into- knee deep in trouble he knew he had never caused. He had always lived like this, always unhappy with his home, his life. The family that had brought him up from puphood, a family he knew, he loved. Love? Could he call it love? “You can’t talk to me like that!” Forced into a home where he couldn’t tell if he had really been loved, if he really felt love for the beblune who surrounded him every day, disoriented in his own head. He tried to break past the drowning feeling, lost in his own troubled head- but the cycle would always start anew. A cycle of denial. A cycle of hatred. A cycle of lost trust. The cycle he experienced all his life. He frowned just thinking about it

The sun was shining out beautifully in the afternoon light. The dew had burned away and Laelu sat beside a small stone feeling anxious. Cinnie was calling out the names of those who would be paired up. What made her nervous was that it was to be a fighting trial first. Soon she heard her name being called and looked up. Cinnie had also called the name of another beblune, Nuka. Laelu looked to Nuka and he looked back. They didn't truly want to hurt him, he looked so afraid.
Nuka felt the fur on his back prick up, but he reluctantly strolled over to Laelu. His eyes rattled gently in their sockets and he blinked at them. “Hi-”
