One of the most interesting parts of Centralia is this abandoned stretch of highway. Informally known as "Graffiti Highway" this section was cut off from the rest of the highway because a large series of cracks formed in the center of the left lane from the underground coal fire. It is now used for dirt-biking and of course graffiti. We were passed by two people on a dirt bike when we walked down it.

(didn't know about the all graffiti there on the road, but perhaps i coulda suspected it after all the drives i did between MI and NY - plenty of it on th dynamited hills n ridges i drove thru
