Power Rangers...entertaining but felt REALLY rushed at some points, especially at how OVER THE TOP the character's angst tropes were. Having said that, It definitely embraced the cheesiness, which is something most adaptations fail to do.
The cast was well done, Elizabeth Banks turned what was such a comedic role into a actual creepy character. This Rita felt like a mix of Enchantress and Loki; she just nailed it.
Bryan Cranston as Zordon..OK, but he just seemed to be phoning it in. Heck, the last shot he's in..not even the main focus, he's a blur in the background.
Having never seen the original show, I enjoyed this movie. I hope for a sequel that won't be TOO afraid to go possibly darker.
