One of many posed shots in the redwoods on the far left side of our property. Here I was trying to get different shots with Elko off leash up on a redwood stump looking down towards the cabin and across the valley. I originally didn't like the lighting and therefore the colors of this one so it got booted to my scraps. However, with some editing I brought out enough for the print request that I received for this piece. It makes a neat idea for a hand drawn picture in my head but I'd really like to try my hand at this shot again some day. However, Elko is a considerable amount bigger now so, that might be quite a ways in the future =)

Yup, quite a few of them. We live in the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. It's wonderful =)
There's a few choice photos in my gallery of a few of the pack about 30 foot up in the air on a redwood stump in their enclosure.

That's a lovely shot, I wish I had seen it before! Adorable pose there, it's almost hard to see him, and it makes him look so tiny compared to the forest :D Lovely shot!

I had it in my scraps originally. Someone requested it as a print so I fiddled around with it in photoshop (which I'm finally learning to use instead of Paint Shop Pro). I'm pretty happy with the results =)
Heh, and at that point in time he WAS tiny compared to the forest =P

You are more than welcome to use any of my photography for reference. I just ask you send me a link so I can see the finished product. Linking to the original reference piece is nice too, but not necessary. =)
