Ninomaru Palace, Nijō castle, Kyoto.

Patterns were projected onto the palace for part of the Kyo-no-tanabata festival.

It is famous for its "nightingale floors", which make a chirping sound when walked on to warm of intruders: [link]

I shot this handheld, wide-open at a slow shutter speed with a high-iso, so it's not as sharp as it could be. Still, I think the patterns make it pretty interesting.
