Been pretty busy recently, but managed to make it out to catch the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

This shrine was built in 1895 for the 1,100th anniversary of Kyoto. Its garden was featured in Memoirs of a Geisha.

Wow so breathtaking! The Heian periods is one of my favorites in Japanese history, the 20 layer kimonos and ladies with super long hair and all the samurais who got to be at home because there was so little war >.< ah! I could go on and on, Heian period gardens are so relaxing too...

Yeah the Kimonos were cool. Must have been hot though. I like the Edo period for the art.
