This was my fave theme in Ubuntu 10.10. I wish it had a Gnome3 port, so I can use it again in Ubuntu 12.10..

my fave ubuntu desktop theme - with different background, but love the coloring of dialog boxes, menue style.

awesome, using the evolution dawn dusk theme in 11.04 since release. i'd love to use that in my crappy windows 7 box, too. is there a way to convert it to windows?
(using windows 7 x64 only for CS5 x64 purposes) keep up the great work!

Awesome theme! Just loving it. =)

Also, just wanted to point out that the roll-over icons for the close, minimize & maximize buttons don't work for certain windows like nautilus elementary and chromium. No biggie :D
AWESOME THEME, MAN!! but, can u tell me how to install this? im using ubuntu 11.4
thx!!

any chance of an emerald version? <3
For those of you looking to use this with the gnome-globalmenu package, or in Natty with its default globalmenu, I have a few that smooths out the gradient gap creating by the missing menus.

Browse to the metacity-1 directory inside the theme directory ('usr/share/themes/Equinox Evolution Dawn/metacity-1' in my case) and open the metacity-theme-1.xml file

Scroll to the section labeled: "Construct titlebar from rectangles instead so we can pick up the GTK theme"

Under the gradient tag, change the last color value from #333333 to #303030 (third color value). This is located on line 69 for me, though that's subject to change.

Save, reapply theme, and your gradient should look continuous like it did before you lost the menubar. This should work with the other themes as well, though a different HEX color code will be needed. Excellent theme, keep up the amazing work!
Nevermind, don't do this, look at the readme file for the instructions on how to do this properly. Don't do above.

installed on ubuntu 10.10 with emerald awoken icons. looks oooo nice
Is there any chance for this themes without rounded corners?
Would be nice if you would make a version with control buttons on the right side of the window :)
You can customize it with mwbuttons: [link]
AMAZING theme. only problem is that when you have a global menu, such as in natty, the metacity doesnt in with the rest of the theme :(

back to dusk, cool ;)
is there a way to make firefox 4 either use dark toolbar and faenza-darkest light toolbar icons or to grab dark icons from normal faenza/faenza-dark?
tiheum's avatar
Have you tried with a dark persona (like this one [link] e.g) ?
plopp37's avatar
yep, i did, i have created my own in the dark toolbar color, but the way the toolbar is rendered (gradients, tab highlight) is pretty ugly...
so i keep using the light toolbar with light icons, which is less usable, but looks better.
