It is already included, but as far as I know, you have to replace the default gnome-shell theme by this one in /usr/share/gnome-shell. I don't know any other way to apply a custom GDM theme in 3.6.
No plan for the moment. It's a real pain (and it's awfully time-consuming) to maintain so many different themes. That's why Faience is primarily designed for Gnome-Shell which rely on symbolic icons that adapt their colour automatically to the panel's background.
