'Why did she just flee like that? Am I so impressive?' Tigerwish thought with a point of humor as she watched the cat that a few minutes ago was all-intimidating and now was running with her tail between her legs. "Well, time to keep going.'' she told herself. Now she started to run again, still hoping she could find a warm den.
As she ran, the evening passed quickly and the twilight came. The loner had found a rabbit carcass and eaten in and then kept moving on. Luckily, she found a bush just when the sun was setting.
'Such unnatural luck...' she thought, still actually grateful. She laid down under the leaves and felt some warmth. It was nice to finally not be cold. Then, she lift her muzzle. The air smelled like last day, which told her the water was coming again. Prepared, Tigerwish started to dig a hole outside of the bush. Soon, the sky teared and it filled with water that she drank what was almost mud gratefully. Then, she covered the hole and prepared to sleep.
She was a lot warmer now. When she looked around, she recognized the place she had been before, the so-called Dark Forest, but now, there was no cat there. She decided to walk. Soon, shades of black appeared in the distance, and the closer she got, the clearer they became. She recognized the same cats she had seen the other time but now another one was there. His long pelt had many shades of brown and it seemed to be radged all over, from his short muzzle to his short legs and tail.
"Finally!" The grey and white tom on top of the rock said.
"How are you feeling, Tigerwish?" the dark striped tom that had been her guide told her. This time, Tigerwish felt too much curiosity to just reply.
"I am fine" she said thoughtlessly "But who are you and what am I doing here? What is this place?"
"I am-" her guide started but as interrupted by the cat with dark grey fur.
"Shush. You know we speak first." then he turned to Tigerwish, his face wasn't neither friendly or aggressive. "I am Breezepelt, one of the leaders of this place." then he shook his tail to the big black and white tom sitting in the base of the rock, right in front of her. "and he will be your mentor here."
Tigerwish still got really confused. She had just got into that place, and still that cat she had just known was already appointing her a mentor, even if she already had one and was already a warrior. For not speaking that the grey and black striped warrior knew her name. That was the most of a strange dream.
"S-sorry, I am not understanding, can you ALL introduce yourselves please? And then answer my other questions?" she asked shy and confusedly. Those cats were intimidating, even if they were not even real.
"Sure" now it was the grey and white cat who talked. "My name is Thistleclaw, I am a former warrior of Thunderclan."
At the word "Thunderclan" Tigerwish got full of rage but controlled herself. The cat, though, seemed to have noticed it and had a slight trace of amusement in his face.
"And I am Mappleshade. I used to be from Thunderclan too, then became a loner, and now I am here." the tortoiseshell purred not mentioning she was exiled.
"Windclan" the apparently young, dark grey cat said.
"Alright.... And you three?" Tigerwish said looking at the cats in the base of the rock.
"I am Slash. I am from an old camp, too much to explain" the short pawed tom gasped.
"I am Hollowsmudge, from Shadowclan." The black and grey, green eyed tom spoke. His voice was deep and really bass.
"And I am Darkstripe. Firstly from Thunderclan, then Shadowclan, then Tigerclan."
"Hm... Ok, w-what am I doing here?" Tigerwish finally said, having more curiosity for this than for the fact Darkstripe had been from Tigerclan.
"You are going to train with us!" Darkstripe purred
"But I already trained!"
"Oh we know, but we couldn't reach you before. There was a spirit too strong next to you that repealed our vision of the living world." Thistleclaw replied.
Tigerwish twitched one of her ears.
"This is not reality, right?" she asked.
"It is and it is not. This is an afterlife place where.... Especial cats go..." Breezepelt said.
Suddenly, Tigerwish's mind enlightened.
"How did you say this place was called?"
"Dark Forest." Mappleshade's calm voice answered.
'I remember when Tigerstar told me about this place... The cats who go here... They are horrible... But... They are also extremely strong... Should I let them train me?'
"I... Accept your training."
After a last sight of the other cats' smile, Tigerwish woke up.
