Recently, 9 of my deviations were stripped down from DeviantArt due to "Copyright Infringement" policies. While I can see the aim of such a policy, it has flaws in the way it is implemented on DA.1. The Fair-Use legality: Simply put, this means that openly available material that is used in a responsible fashion may be freely redistributed so long as it does not effect the copyright owner's rights to sell or distribute the work. This legality does not mean that the copyright owner can not request the work be removed legally, but doing so is still up to the discretion of the artist/re-distributor and not to a middle-man (such as Deviant Art...
