Time
Time is burning
Every second of every minute
Every hour of every day
Burn away
Time is fleeing
Tick-tock goes the clockwork
Springs and levers
Pendulums and chains
Race and crawl
Time is telling
All the tales and lies
Every whispered, told, or shouted
Crawl into my reluctant ears
For all eternity
Time is mourning
Weeping, wailing, yearning
As men with hollow hearts
Cut time in far too shortened specks
To dry the blood of live itself
Time is cheering
At the child in rubber boots
Stomping in the puddles
Splashing mud and water
At their patient parents
Time is waiting
Far beyond the line of sight
Deep into the star-lit evening
Hiding in the corners
Of my brittle heart
Time
Time is freezing
Every year of every decade
Every century of every age
Freezing.
The self-created Fear
A Man Out of Time
Fear Itself
Poem inspired by the magnificent visual artist @MightyGorgar and their thought-provoking digital image
