Now this one is inspired by that one map in the first Titanfall game. Pretty cool idea they had there. Giant guns targeting enemy ships in orbit. And sure, old idea! Anyway, guess I really needed to try myself on that. I'm a little split on how successful I am with this one. =D I just hope the intended dynamic feel comes across nicely and sparks some imagination on what's happening above the clouds. There's certainly a heavy battle raging!

Sehr gute frage.

You did a great job showing the sheer size of the guns, and I love the debris and ships raining down from through the clouds. I think the only thing that maybe could have added anything to this would have been something very large falling through the clouds. Such large guns would be targeting capital ships like carriers and destroyers and frigates. But other than that nitpick of my own, I love this. I can almost hear the guns firing and smell the sizzle of ozone as the energy crackles through them.

You're absolutely right and I thought about doing exactly that. I decided against it because I didn't want the scene to go overboard with detail and partly because I wanted to leave parts of the scene to the imagination of the viewer/audience. Glad you enjoy the scene and thanks for your feedback! Always nice too hear. =)

That makes sense. Imagination is a powerful tool for the viewer of art. Wondering what is just outside the frame, etc. Love your work! :D

Those guns remind me of that one mission from Halo: Reach... and maybe of Black Sun from Supreme Commander.

Neat! I recently re-watched the second Independence Day film and this sorta reminds me of scenes in that with the humans using turrets to try and take down the aliens.
