Back from down-under! I've been to so many places. Mostly East Asia, but also Australia and New Zealand. I've been to Mexico, all over the US & as far east in Canada as Toronto (Montreal, PEI, and Nova Scotia still on the list). I've also been to Japan multiple times, Hong Kong too many times to count, several cities in mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand. I have yet to visit Europe or Africa. Egypt and Madagascar would be pretty neat

.
Anyhoo, that was interesting and fun. I met
Crabbladex2 and
QueenieChan ! Go give them some love!
I flew into Brisbane and drove down to the Gold Coast. I stayed in a high rise condo on Broad Beach, which was amazing! Beautiful weather and endless sandy beach and ocean. I was able to do some writing while I was there for 11 days. That's where I met up with
Crabbladex2 , the talented and passionate artist behind the Soria novel comic adaption! Next, I drove down to Sydney, taking an overnight stop at Port MacQuarie. The Port town was quaint and everything closed at 3pm lol. Very hard to find a place to eat dinner. We randomly drove past a Thai take out place on the way into town and miraculously they were open til 9pm. Very good, authentic Thai food run by a nice bunch of Thai people ^_^. I noticed there's quite a lot of Thai people in that part of the world.
In Sydney I ended up on a private boat ride around Sydney's many harbors, thanks to a local my mom met at the Gold Coast. She was there playing in a week-long bridge congress (tournament). We were treated to some wonderful hospitality and everyone was super nice =O! I met
QueenieChan in downtown Sydney and she showed me some great places to eat. Such a long journey we've both had as artists. We originally 'met' on an old online art forum years ago. I'm really happy to have had the opportunity to personally meet some friends and colleagues I've been in contact with for so many years ^__^. I did a lot of the usual tourist stuff, like visiting the opera house and taking the ferry to Manly. We attempted Scenic World at the Blue Mountains, only to be shrouded in a dense mist and nonstop downpours. We didn't get to see much

. An excuse to visit again and make another attempt, I suppose xp.
Driving on the opposite side of the road was another adventure =__=. Let's just say the driver... had trouble adjusting... while my mom fell asleep within 5 minutes, I had the task of navigating. We survived. Somehow.
Pretty surreal seeing street signs for kangaroos and koalas instead of deer xD. I also didn't realize how common Eucalyptus trees are =O. I saw some giant spiders, but thankfully they stayed outside. My mom was so excited to hold a Koala at the Currumbin Animal Sanctuary near Brisbane. They are pretty cute... ok, enough about Australia lol.

SHADOW MAGIC 2D ANIME PILOT EPISODE FEATURING THE VOICES OF:

We're a small team of animators (KAGE Productions) who have been working in the professional animation, games and comics industries in Vancouver, BC, Canada for 10+ years. It would be so amazing to establish a production studio and create jobs for fellow anime & manga artists here in North America with our own flair.
We love anime, but the opportunities to work with hand-drawn 2D animation locally are non-existent, now that everything is outsourced. We want to bring back traditional animation and nurture this art form.
Shadow Magic has been in development since 1998 and was produced as an audio drama in 2003 and published internationally by Arcana Comics in 2006. Let's make this anime happen!

Commissions
I reserve the right to decline commission requests. I'm more inclined to take on commissions that are of a fantasy and/or sci-fi nature. I feel that I do my best work under those genres. Thank you for considering me! <3
