I work as a software engineer and drawing and painting is my great hobby which helps me to take my mind off the rational work and engage my imagination instead.
I draw usually with soft pastels on paper or velour paper. Sometimes I use colour pencils.
I also paint pictures on cotton T-shirts with fabric paints and brush. Hand-painted T-shirts are always great presents for my friends and generally for everyone who prefer original piece connected to their personality.
Hello Chris, it looks like these two media can go together very well. To be honest, I had to search what posca pens exactly are, because I have never used them before. It looks like the pens are usually used rather for the comic or cartoon art for their thick and bright colours, but you managed to use them here with the delicate watercolour painting too. It seems to me like the watercolor painting should be dominant and the posca pens should be used rather for the details or background, to prevent the subtle watercolour get lost in the whole picture.
I have been quite interested in the combination of copic markers+pencils, which I have seen here on your profile too. It seems to me like the copic markers are better suited media for the combination with both - pencils and watercolor, probably due to the colour structure and density, maybe also for the brush or tip shape of the pen, etc. (Have you tried to combine even the posca pens and pencils yet, or do you find it useless? Do the posca pens require the watercolour paper be used too?)
I have not tried it myself yet, because I have always worked rather with dry pastels or pencils, but I really like a lot the results people achieve with the combination markers+pencils.
Your art is great and this picture is really success
