You're a Pretty Tough Cub

I have always wondered what Kopa would have thought of his nieces and nephews' abilities when it comes to their Lion Guard. Well for years when Kopa's entire family thought he had been murdered at the claws of Zira as an act for revenge for Scar's death. Kopa was wounded and hurt very badly not sure if he would ever survive a long journey home in his current condition he collapsed and wait for death to claim his life as the vultures flew around him he heard a vicious roar. He had thought it was his father, Simba coming to find him and protect him in his weakened state but as he managed to open his blue eyes slightly he saw that it was a leopard that was standing over him a female the looks of it. She swatted her paws with claws unsheathed out at the vultures and snarled as they eventually flew off. Once they were gone she picks Kopa up by the scruff and carried him back to her den. Kopa spent his cubhood and juvenile years living in the Back Lands on the border of the Pride Lands. He often missed his parents and his sister and brother, Kiara and Kion, and would check in from time to time in secret to see how they were doing with their lives. There were so many times Kopa often thought of returning home but over the years of doing good deeds for the animals that lived in the Back Lands, he had gained a good reputation for himself and had been seen as some sort of leader for the animals. One day while helping a baby zebra out from under a fallen tree trunk while its mother was panicking for her baby a lion cub had shown up to help as Kopa tried with all his might to push the tree out of the way. "Here, let me help you out there sir!" Kopa looked at the cub as he came to the baby zebra's aid. "Twende kiboko!" Kopa was astonished but also impressed by this lion cub's strength as he lifted up the trunk onto his back and threw it to the side as if it had weighed no more than a feather. The baby zebra escaped and pranced off towards his mother as the two of them went off to join their herd. The cub threw off the trunk and then turned to look Kopa on the eyes. "Wow, I must say...I'm very impressed by your display of strength. You're a pretty tough cub. What's your name?" The cub smiled at Kopa's praise. "My name is Shujaa, and I'm no ordinary lion cub with a large amount of strength. I happen to be the Strongest Member of the Lion Guard in Training. Shujaa puffed out his chest very proudly as he showed off the mark on his right shoulder. Kopa's ears flicked at the words "Lion Guard" with interest. He'd only heard stories of the Lion Guard from Simba in the old day when Scar was no older than a juvenile lion himself. As Kopa studied Shujaa's physical appearance carefully he couldn't help but notice that Shujaa had a similar appearance to his old friend, Tiifu and his younger brother, Kion. Shujaa cocked his head curiously. "Hey, are you alright, sir?" Kopa sighed and smiled at him with kindness in his blue eyes. "Yes Shujaa, I'll be fine, and please...You can call me 'Uncle Kopa' come on. I want you to take me to Pride Rock. We have a lot to talk about.
