You're Never too Far from my Mind.

During Kion's travels to the Tree of Life no matter how much his scar hurt and how angry he got with his friends no amount of tuliza could compare with the TRUE medicine that he needed to clam down and relax then that of taking a few quiet and moments for himself when he and his friends where resting and as he listened to the waves splash against the shore and even soaking his golden paws he closed his eyes and began to think of his family who he was starting to miss very much his cubs Shujaa and Uzani for starters and then his mind shifted to Kiara and Kovu who stood atop of Pride Rock together shouting to him their farewells while Shujaa and Uzani had also stood on top of Pride Rock as well shouting out their goodbyes as he left home in pretty high spirits. Then his niece, Chiku and nephews, Mukasa and Kibo who he saw tussling with each other as Chiku looks up and smiled up at her uncle with her brilliant emerald green eyes then Simba and Nala are next as they nod to their son with years of knowledge and wisdom behind both of them. But the one face out of them all that Kion couldn't get out of his mind was that of his beloved Tiifu. Who started out as just his sister's best friend but eventually as Kion got to know Tiifu better and formed a very close bond with her that not even Kiara nor Zuri had or could clearly understand. He awaited the day he could hold his wife close to himself when stargazing from Pride Rock's ledge and falling asleep under the stars together. As Kion opened his eyes and watched the sunset over the ocean he ley out a heavy sigh and began to walk back to his friends and found his spot to sleep for the night. He already knew that Tiifu was probably doing the same thinking of him and she couldn't wait until the day she could cuddle up in the curve of Kion's belly and watch the stars with him once more.

As Tiifu was apart of a hunting party she was a bit distracted Zuri had caught on to this and nudge her to keep her head in the game. But Kiara who stood some distance away clearly understood and she had always a lot more sympathetic when it came the romance her best friend and her brother shared. Tiifu looks toward the horizon of the Pride Lands and his face appeared into her mind before he was scarred by that hideous snake. The way he smiled at her she just knew her confidence was boosted and as Kiara came up from behind Tiifu and Tiifu shot her sister-in-law a glance Kiara smiled in that same way as her brother had done many times before and then they went to join Queen Nala (Retired) at the head of the hunting party to take down an elderly buffalo they had been tracking for tonight's dinner.
