Will You Marry Me?

One beautiful afternoon at the Tree of Life Shujaa was laying on his back he had a twig that had a few leaves still on the tips as he chewed on the end of the twig and was very deep in thought. He had been thinking about doing something very personal since he moved from the Pride Lands to the tree since he had only been here a few short weeks. Something he thought that would make his place here more official that he REALLY belonged here now and that was to purpose to his girlfriend, Maua and make her his mate once and for all. Suddenly he saw Maua and her mother, Nirmala walk into his prevail vision. She looked busy learning in the ways of healing and medicine and didn't want to bother her while Nirmala was mentoring her daughter. But she saw Maua look his way and he sat up and smiled at her. Maua turned back to her mother and began to share some words with her that he couldn't hear Nirmala nodded and mother and daughter went their separate ways. Shujaa sat up and began to walk towards his girlfriend.

Shujaa: "Hey beautiful! Are you done for today?"

Maua: (Chuckles) "Mother was just showing me some certain flowers and what they do for curing sore bellies. She knows how important you are to me and said our lessons can wait for another time."

Shujaa: "I'll be sure to let you cure me the next time I'm sick."

Maua: "Don't I already pamper you enough as it is?" 

Maua slides her way over to Shujaa and nuzzles her boyfriend purring happily.

Shujaa: "You certainly do and I love it so much. Which reminds me there's been something I've been wanting to ask you for awhile."

Maua: "What is it?"

Shujaa: "I'm not very good at these sorts of things but would you me the honor of accepting my paw in marriage and be my mate for the rest of our days?"

Maua: "Of course, Shujaa! I've been wondering when you where going to ask me?"

Shujaa: "I'm happy to finally make your request come true. Now what do you say we go down to Flamingo Beach and you can treat me to the most relaxing time I've had in ages."

Maua: "Alright! But let me grab some supplies first before we head off." 

She ran back to the Tree where they kept their medicinal herbs and other plants. Shujaa closed his eyes and felt the wind blow through his fur and as he looked up he wondered if it was his Grandma Nala and Grandfather Simba congratulating him on his big acheivement. Shujaa couldn't help but smile. Maua was his and he was hers. They would spend many wonderful happy seasons together and he hoped someday that they would share a family of their own together.
