Uzani's Pang of Jealousy

It was one of the first times in quite awhile that Uzani's father, Kion was visiting home and it was also Sawa and Raja's first time visiting the Pride Lands for the first time in their lives. Everyone had been waiting anxiously for the two newest additions to the Royal Family to show up and when that time had family arrived for Kion's two newest cubs with his current mate, Queen Rani. Everyone was excited even Uzani herself was overjoyed that her younger half-siblings where finally arriving for a visit. But over the coming weeks that would start to ebb slowly away as a small sense of jealousy grew in Uzani and her brother, Shujaa both as they realized they both would have to share the same family and one day when Uzani was taking her sister on a full tour of the Pride Lands they saw their grandmother, the former queen consort, Nala now retired for a few seasons now. Nala was taking a walk around the perimeter of Pride Rock when she spots her two granddaughters and gives both of them a warm smile.

For an old lioness who had only recently lost her beloved King Simba she seemed to be strong and doing very well.

Uzani rubbed her muzzle against Nala's as she did the same in toe with Sawa then grandmother and granddaughter began to converse with each other as Uzani couldn't help but start to feel a pang of the jealousy growing in her heart. For as long as Uzani could remember it had always been the five of them and only the five of them. Shujaa, Mukasa, Kibo, Chiku, and herself. All the memories of the times they spent with their beloved grandparents began to flow through her mind and she felt Sawa was intruding on something that was precious to only her, her brother, and their three cousins. Uzani watched on in silence as their grandmother and her younger sister talked and talked for what seemed like ages before they both turned to look at her with nothing but unconditional love showing in both sets of eyes.

Nala: "And how about you, Uzani? Have you been showing Sawa the best spots to pounce on your target in?"

Uzani: "Hm? OH! Not yet, Grandma but I'm going to very soon."

Nala: "That's my girl!"

Nala lifted her paw up to ruffle Uzani's tuft of head fur sending Uzani into a giggling fit. Then Uzani was wondering why she was getting jealous of something so ridiculous. Of course Sawa was going to be apart of her family from now on and Uzani was just going to have to learn to share her family members with the new ones that were becoming apart of her family and with that both sisters bid a farewell to their grandmother and went racing away onto their next adventure together.
