The First Time Shujaa and Uzani Met Shani

After Shujaa and Uzani met their new adopted little brother, Baraka. It was time for the pair of siblings to meet their new little sister, Shani. Their mother, Tiifu was outside talking with her two best friends Kiara and Zuri and as Kion approached the entrance to the tree Shujaa and Uzani approached their mother and aunts full of excitement that they were finally going to meet Shani at last. Kiara was the first to approach her brother and she nuzzled him wishing him congratulations of the birth of his newest daughter and Zuri threw in her congratulations as well for Kion and Rani. Kion and Tiifu stared at each other the pair who had once been mates and in love and once very happy with their two cubs now there seemed to be a mix of guilt from Kion as he stared at Tiifu now while she still felt some sadness for what happened but that was all in the past now and Tiifu had come to terms with Rani was now Kion's life now that they shared three cubs together and one adopted cub as well. As Tiifu's moss green eyes shifted up to look Kion back in his eyes. A sudden smile started to show on her face.

Tiifu: "Congratulations, Kion. You must be very happy to be a father... again."

Kion: "Thank you, Tiifu it really is a blessing to have her in our lives. And thank you for accompanying our cubs to meet their new sister."

Tiifu: "It was my pleasure, They're really looking forward to meeting her."

Kion and Tiifu seemed to share a moment in time as they both had flashes of back to when Shujaa and Uzani had been born. Tiifu felt a few tears trickle down her face but as she was about to wipe them away Kion lifted his forepaw and wiped them away for her.

Kion: "Remember this is a happy occasion, Tiifu so no tears. Alright?"

He gave his previous mate an encouraging smile and she felt her own smile grow.

Tiifu: "You're right, Kion. This is a happy moment and we should be smiling."

Kion rested his head on her head for a few moments before they both turned to look at Shujaa and Uzani who now had somewhat shocked looks on their faces.

Kion: "Are you two ready to meet your new sister?"

Shujaa and Uzani just nodded slowly wondering what that was all about. The both of them looked towards Kiara and Zuri as if they saw what they saw. Zuri was certainly shocked but Kiara seemed to be smiling her face full of compassion for her brother and her best friend. The bitterness Kion seemed to have once felt towards Tiifu was gone completely and he had his life here at the Tree of Life while Tiifu had her own in the Pride Lands but one thing would always remain the same and that was the connection. The two siblings followed after their parents into the tree whispering the whole way amongst themselves until they reached the queen's side. Raja and Sawa where asleep beside their mother while Kion walked on ahead and he nudged Rani awake then gently stirred his older son and daughter awake.

Kion: "Wake up you two. Your siblings are her with their mother to meet Shani let's give them some time alone to get to know each other."

Kion led his sleepy cubs out of the den so Shujaa and Uzani got the chance to get to know Shani. Tiifu smiled at Raja and Sawa brightly as the two younger cubs exchanged a short greeting with their older half-siblings than she turned to look at Queen Rani as she began to stir from her sleep.

Rani: "Hello Shujaa and Uzani and Tiifu as well. Thank you for coming to see our new princess."

Rani leaned down to lick Shani awake. The small tawny colored cub began to mewl in protest as she turned to look up at the three strangers that stood before her. Whoever they were they smelled like her daddy and the lioness that stood at the edge must be their mommy as well since these big lions seemed to smell like her as well. Shani reached out with her tiny paws as her claws clung their way into Shujaa's nose.

Shujaa: "Ouch! She's already got a strong grip for someone who's so small." Uzani just chuckled as he said this earning a irritated glare from her brother.

Uzani: "What is it with this sudden fear for babies, bro? First you almost jump out of your pelt at the sight of Baraka than you seem to be scared of cute little Shani here taking a swipe at your nose. Face it, Shujaa baby animals make you nervous."

Uzani began laughing harder that Tiifu had to step in and give her daughter a cuff over the ear.

Tiifu: "Don't tease your brother, Uzani."

Uzani: "Sorry Mom..." Uzani began to pout as she looked in the corner.

Rani began to giggle as she looked down at Shani again.

Rani: "She's only 2 Weeks old but she's already a hunter and I can't wait to see the beautiful lioness she will become."

Shujaa: "We'll certainly be there to teach her all we know, Rani."

Uzani: "As I'm sure Sawa and Raja will do the same."

Rani: "Thank you... Both of you.  I'm glad Shani will have four wonderful siblings to look out for her and teach her all they know. Your wn mother has certainly raised the the pair of you well."

Tiifu: "I do my best just as you have with your own lot, Rani."

Rani: "In the end that's all we can do, Tiifu. Be the best mothers that we can be to our young ones."

Uzani and Shujaa both leaned against Tiifu as she licked them on the head each in turn. Despite everything that had happened between Tiifu and Kion. They had come to accept the facts of the situation. Tiifu would always love Kion as he still loved her but they had all moved on and where living their own lives and Tiifu had come to accept this and was happy just being the mother of his first born cubs. Rani then looked up at Tiifu.

Rani: "Do you mind if we talked, Tiifu? I would like to speak to you about something?"

Tiifu: "No... Not at all Queen Rani. Because I would also like to speak with you as well."

The two mothers seemed to share a similar look of understanding as Shujaa and Uzani were too busy to pay any attention to the pair of lionesses continued to stare at each other so mysteriously.
