Since I'm feeling a furry of emotions of both sadness and somewhat anger too. I'm going to leave this piece of the first time of what it was like for Mukasa, Chiku, and Kibo what it was like for them to lose their grandfather, King Simba. No matter how much you may try and prepare yourself that someday we are all going to lose our grandparents and our parents it's so unexpected and it can creep up on you just like that. So my message to my lucky watchers who still have a grandparent weather it's just one or all four of them please treasure your special moments with them as much as you can because you never know when they're going to leave. Same goes for parents as I could take my own advice too. My dad lives in another country but my mom is here where I live in my corner of the world but I just encourage you to pick up the phone and call your grandparents today and tell them how much they mean to you same with your parents even your aunts, uncles, and cousins. In the end they're your family and we don't know how much time we have with them so let them know how much they mean to you that's all I ask of everyone of you.
Kiara led her cubs to Pride Rock's den as she slowly walked towards the entrance where her father's body was lying in state. As she slowly turned to look at them she gathered her paw around the three of them.
Kiara: "Now remember you three your grandfather will look like he's asleep but he isn't. He has passed on to be with your great-grandparents on the other side. It might be a little frighting to witness your grandfather laying so still but know your grandmother, father, and I will be right there inside with you."
She began to lead the three shaken cubs into the den as she went to stand beside her mother. Nala and Kiara nuzzled each other as they watched Chiku, Kibo, and Mukasa rush over to their grandfather. Kovu began to follow his daughter and sons from a distance and looked on with sorrowful compassion in his green eyes. It broke Kiara's heart as her youngest son began to tug on her father's ear. It wasn't an easy sight as flashes from both the deaths of Kiara's grandmothers Queen Sarabi and Sarafina. She remembered what it was like for her brother, Kion and Kiara and as she watched her own cubs experience such a serious grief and sorrow for the first time in their lives. Kovu started to pull Kibo back into a comforting hug as Chiku and Mukasa bowed their heads in silence but not before they both shed tears of sorrow for Simba's death. As Kiara looked back towards her mother she whispered into her ear.
Kiara: "Please don't leave us too soon, Mom. We certainly need you now more then ever."
Nala: "Don't you worry Kiara I'm going to cling to life as willfully as I can handle and your father will certainly understand that."
Kiara: "Thanks Mom..."
Mother and Daughter nuzzled each other and then Kiara went over to comfort her own cubs. As Nala looked towards the hole in the roof she hoped that Simba was watching over everything they saw from beyond the stars.
