Request: How Rani Got Her Scar

So this was a request made for friend actually who doesn't have a DA account. Their friend requested that how I thought Rani got her scar on her leg. So an idea came to me from the theory I posted last week where I thought what if Kovu had been Sãhasí and Ãnanda biological son and Zira just happens to stumble across The Tree of Life with her followers and kidnap Kovu from his home but not before Zira murders both Sãhasí and Ãnanda and attempts to murder Rani. www.deviantart.com/thunderstar… Well, a similar issue happens here but without Kovu being involved. Before Zira and her followers were exiled by Simba from his pride had happened to overhear Rafiki telling the new young king, Simba all about The Tree of Life which caught the interest of Zira. Unaware of the pair that she was eavesdropping. Zira got to her paws and followed the pair from a safe distance from what she heard about The Tree of Life. It sounded like from what Rafiki was explaining that The Tree of Life was a place of refuge where animals from everywhere come to heal or if they were of an endangered species they could come to this place and live out the remainder of their days in peace. This gave Zira a great idea but she needed to tread through this plan step by careful step.

A few days later, Zira and a small band of her followers were walking to The Tree of Life. This was how her plan was going to play out. Zira was going to act as a starving lioness on her last legs and beg for shelter and refuge from the queen who ruled over the entire tree, Queen Janna, and would eventually gain the trust of the royal family and the other animals living there. She would ambush the royal family and kill every last one of its members. Then Zira would claim the tree as her new kingdom making herself a queen once again. 

After a few months of staying with the Tree of Life. Zira watched as the young princess and succor to the throne. Princess Rani played with her mother, Ãnanda as her father and Queen Janna's eldest son, Prince Sãhasí watched over his family. His younger brother, Surak was asleep in the den with his Sãhasí's son, Baliyo. Zira saw this as a perfect opportunity. She would kill both Sãhasí and Ãnanda then go after the daughter before killing the two in the den. Ãnanda looked up as the Zira's followers began to circle the family. With a flick of her ear, Zira's lionesses ambushed Sãhasí as he was killed on the spot. Ãnanda looks up in shock as she runs and picks up Rani in her jaws and starts to run towards the tree to alert Surak for help. She puts Rani down and tells her to run in and alert her uncle to tell him that Zira was a traitor and to come out and help her drive the Outsiders away. But before Rani has a chance to do that. Zira and her followers show up attack Ãnanda. Zira slashes her throat and before Rani's eyes, she stares in shock as her mother falls to the ground dead. Zira leaps from behind and blocks Rani's path from running in and warning her uncle of the danger that has befallen on the royal family. Rani jumps and doges Zira's claws but unfortunately for Rani Zira got her on the left leg and the injury felt like a fire in Rani's leg as she tried to leap out of Zira's way again and again. She cowered as Zira hovered over the young princess but just before Zira could strike Queen Janna came running into the rescue, Nirmala running by her side. Zira decided it wasn't worth it to stick around. She ordered her lioness to retreat and that is what they did. By the time Janna and Nirmala arrived at the tragic sight of Rani's now dead parents. Rani run towards her grandmother and cried into her fur. Janna did her best to comfort her granddaughter and shield her from the awful sight before them. She ordered Nirmala to fetch Surak to make sure those savages were gone for good. Nirmala did just that and runs inside to fetch Surak. Janna looks at the bodies of her eldest son and his mate as she begins to shed tears of her own for this tragic loss.
