Reflecting on Life

This scene here takes place sometime after Tiifu becomes the new Queen of the Tree of Life and rules by Kion's side until Shani comes of age to succeed her mother, Rani. Meanwhile back in the Pride Lands Uzani and Shujaa both feel somewhat lonely knowing now both their parents are living at the Tree of Life together but above their personal feelings the two siblings still had a duty to protecting the Pride Lands as members of the Lion Guard. 

One morning Uzani was just coming out of the den. The young lioness yawned and stretched out her limbs as she started to head to the waterhole for a drink. She was surprised that Shujaa hadn't been asleep by her side when she woke up. They weren't supposed to go on patrol until later in the afternoon with the rest of the guard. As she was on her way she passes by the tree both her grandparents, Simba and Nala are buried under together and notices her brother is sitting by the grave he seems to be looking up at the sky so Uzani decides to go over and join him.

Uzani: "Hey!" She sits beside her brother and smiles warmly at him.

Shujaa: "Oh... Hey, Uzani. What's up?" He turns his head to look at his sister. 

Uzani: "I was about to go down to the water hole for a drink. Care to join me, brother?" 

Shujaa: [LIGHT SIGH] "Maybe in a while. I'm just doing some thinking on a few things." He turns his gaze towards the peaceful blue sky.

Uzani: "You're thinking about Mom and Dad aren't you?" She looks up at the sky as well once the smile disappears from her face.

Shujaa: "Yeah... I miss them both you know. I hope Mom and Dad are happy even though we can't live at the Tree of Life with them."

Uzani: "I'm sure they're fine, Shujaa. We have our own lives and duties to Aunt Kiara, Uncle Kovu, and the rest of the Kingdom just as Mom and Dad have duties to the animals they call the Tree of Life "Home"."

Shujaa: "I suppose you're right. Come on, let's go and get some water and what do you say some lunch? I saw Aunt Kirara and her hunting party brings down a couple of zebras when I arrived."

Uzani: "Oh you're on!" The two lion cubs walked off towards the water hole before heading over to the pride and join them for a meal.
