My Pride AU: Fire's Death

So knowing what we know about Fire now I think it was better if he had died at the claws and teeth of Quick when he was still a cub. This is how I see the scene playing out if Fire had died instead of Spark. Nothing and her brothers, Spark and Fire decide to play a game of No-Mane as their father, Starmane watches his three cubs closely from nearby but Fire, openly says that he doesn't want to play with her because she is a lioness and that she is natural weak because of it. Nothing gets sad and Spark snaps at Fire that she was just trying to play with him and that he took everything way too seriously, even when their just trying to have fun. Before Fire could say anything back, a roar is heard in the distance, and Nothing recognized it as a No-Mane's roar. Starmane notices this as well and demands his cubs to hide in the grass while he goes to investigate. Spark and Nothing follow his instructions, but Fire flees the scene. 

As Fire keeps on running and running as fast as he could away from his family to find his mother, grandmother, and aunt he feels a strong paw step on his tail then began dragging him along the ground so he could get a better look at his catch as Fire was flipped over onto his back he was looking up at a large and muscular lion, with a brown-red mane with reddish skin, and a light reddish fur on the belly and toes and two yellow-amber eyes that looked at Fire gleefully.

No-Mane: "Well... What have we here? A little lost cub has crossed my path. Tell me boy, before you die where is your father and pride hiding?"

Fire started to struggle and struggle with all his strength but to no avail was he ever getting out from under this big lion's paws.

No-Mane: "Not talking are you cub? Well no matter I will find your pride on my own without your help. Your family will be with you again momentarily I can assure you of that much now... Sleep tight, cub I'm doing you a great service. As the No-Mane lowered his head down and opened his jaws as Fire looked on with absolute terror filling his emerald green eyes as he knew what was coming next.

~ Meanwhile... ~ 

Starmane shakes his head at how foolish his son was in rushing off into unknown dangers out beyond the stretch of the Sister's Steppe. The dark, grey-cream color with his golden mane turned back to his other two cubs.

Starmane: "Spark, Daughter, stay here, in the tall grass. Don't. Move."

Suddenly the father and his two remaining cubs heard the screams of Fire echo in the distance.

Spark: "Fire!"

Nothing: "Daddy! We have to go and rescue Fire! He could be in danger with that No-Mane out there!"

But as Nothing looked pleadingly up into her father's dull yellow eyes he closed them and shook his head in regret.

Starmane: "I'm sorry, Daughter but your brother is gone... Now do as your told and hide in the tall grass with your brother."

Starmane turned away from his two cubs and went to look for this intruder on their territory and hopefully chase it off. 

As Spark and Nothing huddled together and after awhile the roars of both their father and the No-Mane could be heard in the distance startling a few birds who flew away. A moment later, Starmane crashes back into view, blood pouring down his back and from a wound on his shoulder.

Starmane: "Cubs! Run! Find your mother!"

The No-Mane that had killed Fire went by the name of Quick, comes into view, and Starmane and Quick then begin battling.

Nothing: "You heard him! We have to go find Mom."

Spark: "He has to win. He has to."

Nothing: "I'm sure Dad will be fine, Spark but we have to find Mom and Grandmother."

Spark: "But Sister! What if Dad doesn't make it and the No-Mane ends up winning!"

Nothing: "Tell you what. I'll keep an eye on Dad you go and find Mom!"

Spark: "Alright Sister but please be careful."

As Spark runs off Nothing turns back to watch the fight from her hiding spot as Quick easily takes Starmane down and bites the back of his neck, killing him within mere seconds. Now Quickmane turns to look off into the distance with a satisfying smirk on his bloodly lips he drops Starmane's limp body to the ground and begins to scan the tall grass.

Quickmane: "Can you hear me, cubs? This Pride isn't mine until the all the old mane's young are gone! I already got one of you and I will find the rest of you so no use in hiding from me."

He finds Nothing in less then a minute as he slowly begins to approach her.

Quickmane: "Ah. There you are. Only one cub well this will be a lot easier than I thought."

Nothing had tears streaking down her face, as she is frozen in shock for the sudden death of her father as well as Fire. And Quickmane soon approaches her.

Quickmane: "Don't be sad little Lioness... you'll be with your family again momentarily."

In a moment of fury, Nothing gains her composure and a look of anger for her father and brother's killer draws on her face.

Nothing: "Asra may take me down but you will never win."

She unsheathed her claws ready to strike. 

Quickmane: "What's that supposed to--"

Before Quickmane could finish his question Nothing jumped up and clawed at his right eye while he was confused. He yowled in pain, slashing at her left eye and foreleg.

Quickmane: "LET GO OF ME!! DEMON!! AHHH!"

Quickmane managed to throw her off. She flipped into the air and crashed against a tree trunk, her injured paw crushed against the weight of her body and tree. She flopped onto the ground, her vision becoming blurry as she heard the sound of her mother came into view, crying out 'Starmane!' before going unconscious.
