Mukasa's Presentation

Kiara welcomes the birth of her and Kovu's son and daughter, Mukasa and Chiku. Mukasa is chosen by his mother as her successor to the Throne as King while Chiku is destined to succeed in Kion's place as Leader of the future Lion Guard. Mukasa is taken by his parents to be presented to the Pride Landers as they witness to the young future king in all his glory while Chiku is held back in the care of her grandmother, Nala. Rafiki calls to the Pride Landers from the top of Pride Rock. Once the animals are present, Kiara and Kovu appear with Mukasa. Rafiki greets the king and queen with a hug, and Ono as the new Majordomo bows respectfully before the royal family. Rafiki takes Mukasa in his arms and hoists him into the air for everyone to see, and the Pride Landers rejoice. As Mufasa and Sarabi both smile down on their great-grandson from the heavens, Kiara breathes deeply and smiles, and Kovu looks on happily as the wind ruffles his mane, both are happy and proud of their newborn cub. After a moment, Rafiki lowers Mukasa, marks his forehead with his thumb, and holds the prince while Kiara and Kovu nuzzle their son.
