Mastering the Roar of the Elders

Chiku sat at the ledge of Pride Rock sulking. It was another one of those times in her young life she had yet again made a mess of her home trying to practice at the Roar. Chiku starts to sob and sits down curling herself up into a tight ball. At this rate she was never going to be as good as her Uncle Kion when it came to using the roar properly everyone was always angry with Chiku any time she destroyed the Pride Lands during her sessions what was the point. Chiku was a failure and she may as well give up her position as future leader of the Lion Guard to a much more responsible lion who actually knows what they're doing. As Chiku continued to cry she felt a pair of big paws wrap around her and pulled her into a loving embrace. Chiku, surprised, looks to see Kion's familiar red mane first them instantly looks up to see the face of her uncle looking down at her with kindness in his eyes as he gently smiling at his niece. Chiku gets up as she wipes away her tears with her forepaw.

Kion: "I think you're ready use The Roar, Chiku. Without even destroying anything in your path."

Chiku: "How Uncle?"

Kion: "When we hit our lowest point we are always open to the greatest change. Trust me, Chiku, I doubted myself when I was your age."

Chiku: "You!?" Chiku couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could her amazing uncle she looked up to with such trust ever have any screw ups?!

Kion: "Oh yes. I had my share of mistakes when I was a cub and so did your mom and your grandfather. We all have our share of mistakes and it's from those mistakes we learn and grow from. It's all part of growing up, sweetie. Which is why I believe you're ready to master the Roar of the Elders. Come and stand with me."

Chiku's forest green eyes lit up as she ran to join her uncle.

Kion: "Are you ready? Deep breath in, stay focused and roar as loud as you can."

Chiku did as her uncle had instructed her to do and she closes her eye for a second then opens her eyes as a flash of green streaks across her irises and she lets out a mighty roar along with Kion and the lions of the past appear behind them both in the clouds as both present and future Lion Guard leaders roar loud and proud. After the lions in the clouds they disperse and both lions stop roaring as Chiku looks around she sees from Pride Rock for miles that no destruction had been caused. Chiku suddenly senses she was being watched and she turns around to see her mother, Kiara looking amazed at her daughter's accomplishment. Chiku runs to her mother as the two lionesses share a lovingly embrace as Kion watches his sister and niece sharing a sweet moment with each other.
