Kura's Death

I've been wanting to do this for a while but now it's finally happening the fate of Nala's father, Kura caused by Scar. This is a sequel to that comic I made last year called "How Taka Gained his Scar" Part 1 is Here:www.deviantart.com/thunderstar… and Part 2 is Here:www.deviantart.com/thunderstar…. It was about a love dispute between Kura and Scar (Than, Taka) in their teens for Sarafina's love and now Scar is finally getting his revenge for Kura giving Scar his scar many years earlier. I know it was confirmed in Lion Guard that Scar was bitten by a cobra in the eye but I prefer the cause of the scar to have been caused by claws like how Zira slashed Kovu over the eye anyway on with the story.

One stormy evening, King Scar comes rushing towards Nala and Kura as they are patrolling the border and tells them that Sarafina is in grave danger. Rushing to help, they spot her who is hiding behind a rock with an injured paw trapped among a stampede of charging gazelles. Kura knowing his wife is pregnant with their second cub goes down to help as Sarafina is able to finally jump to a ledge and pull herself out of harm's way despite the unborn cub weighing her down. Scar plots from the sidelines and catches sight of Kura climbing up. He latches onto the struggling lion and throws him to his death, revealing his dark intentions of finally taking Sarafina as his Queen at last. Nala, a witness to the murder of her father, goes down and mourns him. She looks to the top of the cliff where Scar watches her for a few moments before slinking away like the coward he is. Nala now soured by grief and hungry for revenge promises that very soon Scar would see his day of reckoning come either by her own claws or the claws of another better lion who would be a better king than Scar ever was.
