Get Out of Our Way!

The following day after Uzani and her aunt, Queen Kiara had witnessed that mysterious white lioness the day before patrols had been increased around The Tree of Life's borders. She lifted her head up and looked towards the Mountain Pass where these "Snow Lions" as Surak had called them. Apparently when his brother, Sãhasí, and his mate Ãnanda had ruled over the tree. There was a dispute and Sãhasí did want to marry off his daughter, Rani to the son of that pride. The Winter Pride was known to be ruthless and cunning many generations back and wouldn't hesitate to ambush and kill their allies when it benefited their own greedy agenda to expand their territory and gain more access to food. And Sãhasí wasn't going to put up with that. So the Winter Pride lions and lioness were exiled to the further part of the mountains and there they remained until as of yesterday that is.

Uzani dug her claws into the ground and growled as she slashed her paw through the water cutting her reflection in half. Little did she know that Shani had been watching her older half-sister with concern and Uzani turned at the sound of her younger half-sister's paw steps.

Uzani: "Shani! What are you doing here, I thought you were watching over Dad and my mom?"

Shani: "I was but Shujaa and Aunt Kiara wanted to spend some time with them alone. Actually, I'm here because I have an idea."

Uzani: "What kind of idea?"

Shani: *Slowly turns her head to look at Uzani.* "We'll go ahead and get that medicine for Dad and Tiifu. With your speed and my skills, we can get those herbs that grow in the Winter Woods without the Winter Pride even noticing we're even there.

Uzani: "Well, what are we waiting for let's go!"

Both lioness cubs sneak away towards the mountains to find the herbs both Kion and Tiifu to recover. 

  

Shani and Uzani had been very careful trying to avoid any sign of encountering members of the Winter Pride who ruled over these snow-covered lands. Little did the sisters know that they were being watched with interest. A periwinkle-colored lion with purple eyes and a striking silver mane smirked as he watched Uzani and Shani venture further into his territory.

???: "Excuse me, ladies! I believe you have crossed into my territory by mistake. My advice for you two to go back to where you come from before my followers and I give you some wounds to really think about."


At that moment a muscular gray lion and the white lioness appeared from yesterday came out of their hiding places. Uzani and Shani stood their ground growling at these lions before them.

Uzani: "Are you the leader of this Pride?"

Shani: "You should know we're not in the mood for conversation! We're only here to get the medicine that grows in your territory!"

???: "I'm Vihar Leader of this Pride and these are some of my Pride Members, Hóvihar and Don."

Don: "Now with introductions out of the way. We should be rid of these cubs before they escape!"

Vihar: "Easy, Sister... We'll deal with these two cubs but jumping straight to unnecessary violence is never the answer." He jumps down beside Hóvihar and looks at the brute of a lion who nods in agreement with his leader.

Uzani: "Fine! If it's a fight you want than lets fight!"

Shani: "But don't underestimate us just because we're still cubs! We've both had more than enough training to take out three grown lions like yourselves!"

Hóvihar: *Chuckles* "Is that so...? Well in that case lets put your skills to the test!"
